getting 60kb/s on NZBs. Not super impressed with Business Accounts.
You should be seeing much higher speed than this, are you using our news server?

Combination of news.afrihost.co.za and free.xsusenet.com - it was 60 for a while but it's jumped up to around 100kb/s average (1 meg line). I'll keep an eye and let you know.
Is this also when using our news server?
Using afrihost news server, I get about 120KB/s on a 2mb business uncapped account. Torrents did not go over 50KB/s in the times that I checked. Hope it improves soon (at least I have the Afrihost mobile data available for urgent downloads).
Using Tweaknews.EU with 20 threads. I have the Afrihost as a backup server, let me make it primary
It's really concerning that downloads are slowing down on the Business account though
Keep trying and keep me posted!
What's the rest of your experience like on the account? I've seen some threads over on Reddit recently about slower speeds on Tweaknews which is what may be causing the issues here too

I am going like a Boeing ... Based in Mpumalanga but I don't use local news servers due to retention periods. Running at 820 kb/s average so it's performing.

I've never really had an issue with them, been using their EU servers for over a year already. Maxed out the line all the time in the past, and I've never actually seen a slow down in my downloads.
I check in the mornings and most things pulled down at 1.1MB/s, and normally done by 7am. If the girlfriend finds an older Unix distribution and needs all previous editions in 720p I can do about 80-95Gb a day, pretty much at the theoretical max for the line.
It works fine for HD in Hulu and SuperHD for Netflix, just that the Apple TV cannot stream HD from iTunes anymore. It just stutters and buffers like I mentioned before, started in the last 2-3 weeks.

I also get strange results. Slow Pings (often when the normal uncapped users start complaining on myBB).

Are these pings of 200ms and 400ms to a local destination?

IS does 400-odd for binary (and it's a local mirror)
