Here's hoping. Maybe I can put my 2yr old on the phone because he can't watch his Netflix toons.
 
We are receiving increasing reports of clients unable to get online due to regional Telkom outages around the country. The outages we are currently aware of include:

North: Rosettenville, City Deep, Kensington, Aeroton, Stormhill, Johannesburg Central (CBD)
South: Malmesbury, Tiervlei, Stellenbosch, Brackenfell
East: Mandini, Mount Edgecombe

The outages may not be limited to these areas. We will continue to post updates as we receive more information regarding the outages occurring. We apologise to affected clients for the inconvenience.

Download Speed: 6778 kbps (847.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 828 kbps (103.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 71 ms

And international not much different but for ping of 200ms (normal for me).
 
I'm also seeing slower browsing, Youtube buffering even at 360 or 480p which usually doesn't happen. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Don't think this is a side-affect of the Telkom outage, not great to hear about your streaming though :(
Shouldn't be any buffering, is this across the board or only from certain sites?
 
Hope the problems are fixed soon. Getting 2m speed on 10m line...
 
UPDATE 11 September 2014 13h17 We are receiving confirmation of additional Telkom outages in the South (Cape Town and surrounding areas) in the following suburbs:

Ceres, Barrack Street, Leeusig.

There may also be further areas experiencing outages which have not yet been confirmed by Telkom.
