Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

The South IPC looks OK at the moment. Is it just gaming that's the issue or is your overall connection suffering from higher than normal latency?
Everything else seems to be fine ie torrents, browsing, gmail etc. Only gaming seems to be affected atm.
PS these are to EU servers, busy trying out World of Tanks which I play on US servers and not getting any issues there.
Maybe try rebooting the router, if you haven't already? Could be a temporary glitch somewhere.
Did that twice already and still the issues remain.
I know some changes have been made to improve the gaming experience, not sure if somehow these have been reverted. Are you only seeing this today?

Traceroute to Arihost! (Keep in mind that Afrisupport told me that those pings on my 2nd hop are acceptable. Look at the IPC hop though!!

Are other downloads also slow?
I don't think those exchange pings are acceptable, but are you using the line while running the traceroute though?

While the above is reasonably reliable (esp if it indicates a good outcome), technically a bad ISP can affect the first hop too since ISP IPC congestion will look the same. The easiest way around this is to re-do the test with a different ISP. So either purchase some cap from a different ISP or use the Telkom guest account (assuming your primary account isn't Telkom already)

I didn't change anything but now I'm down to 40min for the download. Very unstable!
Are downloads slow across the board here though, or only on Apple services?
I tested another small 10MB download and it was fine, so it seems only to be the Apple download still going slowly!
Just grabbed a few apps off the App Store and seems good on my end, could you try the same?
Issues still persisting on EU servers (HoTS and PoE). Will try again tomorrow and see if there is any change.
PS. when joining the PoE EU server pings are hitting 1000ms+ (and flatlining), soon as I swap over the US server for PoE everything is normal (Avg 280ms). So something is clearly wrong with the EU connections.
Youtube seems to have sorted itself out, for the time being.

Which web browser are you using at the moment? Are you using the Afrihost DNS Servers are the moment?
