Since yesterday I've been getting timed out of games online. When I switch over to another ISP it's perfect, no lag or anything.
Best part is im not even in the South...
Any tests I can put up for this?
Getting perfect results on speedtest but it's not coming through with gaming or P2P...

EDIT:

Just realised, the speedtest above is with another ISP.

At the moment you should definitely not be seeing any issues with gaming. Which games are being problematic at the moment?

Right now I don't care about capped or uncapped. I am concerned more about the fact that you claim to be able to glean some (note the emphasis on the word "some") information from encrypted VPN traffic. As far as I know, if the VPN is properly configured with end-to-end encryption, it is almost impossible to know what is going on there because even the packet headers are encrypted. This was definitely the case with all the VPNs I have played with, even the DNS queries went via the VPN. The last time I used a VPN against an internet service provider, they were unable to stop me even with DPI as you claim. Therefore, if you claim to be able to do it, it means you have either got a NSA backdoor into the crypto, or you are talking through your backside!

DPI does not inspect the traffic, it just tells them what encryption type is being used and what server it is going to. They cannot see the content, that isn't possible.
To hide against DPI is easy, you wrap your VPN in SSL or obfuscate it.

If I was a betting man, that is what I would guess is happening.

"You are number 25 waiting for..." Is this the 24/7 service you provide?

Can somebody please have a look at TOP-728-52604. Its been going back and forth since 18 May. I have a very specific question.

Why do I see spikes if up to 300ms on the 3rd hop?

I realised that speedtest is with WA, Please see the above speedtest with AH which I edited. I have been playing COD, is there any tests I can send you?

Gaming on Axxess is also impossible for identical reasons (tried last night). They also use MTN.

Correct, I was trying to put that in words...

The latency spike on the third hop usually means that are your ADSL traffic hits the MTN network, your traffic either experiences packet loss or the routing is not as optimized as it should be.

When do you usually experience the increase in latency?

When the timeouts occur, does your ADSL connection drop? Or does it occur due to packet loss in-game?

At all times, since I got the line in April.

It is especialy high if I try to watch a webinar, which I need to do for training. However I also see it when I am just browsing or gaming.

Note: It is not constant. It spikes up to that level multiple times in a 5 min interval. It goes from 10ms, up to 337ms and then back to 10. See the original pingplotter image I attached to the ticket.

Do you perhaps have the URL of the Webinars that you try to watch? Definitely want to check why a streaming is causing latency on your connection.

whatwhat's explanation seems to also convey the point I was trying to make. :)

There is actually very little you can do about SSL wrapped VPN, so I can understand the issues you are going through.
If it was an easy fix, then people wouldn't get out of the great Chinese firewall, or make VOIP calls in Dubai.

That would be interesting news to me.

Can Afrihost confirm this is so?

Capped and Business Uncapped accounts - with Business Optimization disabled - do share the same resource pool, with the only difference being that Business Uncapped accounts have the speed limit in place that Capped accounts do not have.
