Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

Was performance OK during the weekend for you?

Performance was terrible the whole weekend, could not stream at all! To give you an idea: 4Mbps line: had to buffer +-10 minutes to get 1 minute of playback at 480p. So to watch 60 minutes of standard definition video, I had to wait 10 hours. I hope that answers your question.

So Afrihost would be the equivalent of a mishap during a rocket launch?

Probably more akin to the original Mir Space Station entering a decaying orbit around earth, and we're getting ready to launch our brand new and shiny ISS!

This is our top priority at the moment, and the Team is pushing hard to get the Test Accounts available, and up and running as quickly possible. We're making good progress, but we want to make sure that we've got everything running as smoothly and well as possible.

Then please have Gian approve a credit of my account for the past two months _AND_ suspend my debit order until either POC network goes live. Would appreciate if you sent this request to Gian. His response can be posted here as he's been absent from the other thread he started.

I applied for the POC network a week ago. I've had awful service since then and before. When is this new network going to be implemented? My Afrihost MTN mobile data is faster, has a lower latency and is more reliable than my ADSL.

That latency is horrible... I'm getting an ETA from our Team now, hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for the Test Accounts.

I'd say, more like a spacecraft, lost, and about to burn up in the atmosphere...

Gian does not need to approve the credit, I can assign this immediately for you, and I will do so gladly, I'll just need you to send me a PM with your account details.

And while you are at it, I want 55Gbytes credited to my account, the same ones I couldn't use at the end of last month due to your issues

Ok....according to an article last week, Gian stated that the POC networks will be ready for testing early this week. Does Afrihost actually realise, that "early this week" have 1 day left because Wednesday is middle of the week......

If you drop me a PM, I can see about looking into this for you, but just bear in mind that this will be as a courtesy to you as an individual, not a blanket policy going forward.

Everyone is aware of the timeline, and we're going to make sure we stick to it as closely as possible.

Well something needs to be done about this, I have hardly used my 150GB+150GB at all, which costs me R600 a month, Ive only used 5GB and gave up, you guys are basically stealing money. Same with last month,I only used 8Gig.
The month before was the same.

Is this Fair ????

No it isn't but at least here is some feedback:

ISPA have served notice on Afrihost regarding my complaints they have 5 days to respond or the matter goes further

Hopefully we will be hearing from the POC in this week! Because packetloss only got better at 11pm at my side eek! Hoping for the best!
