I'm hoping it will be delivered ASAP, but I don't have a confirmed date that I can commit to just yet. Hoping it won't be longer than a week or so, but nothing concrete to share right now :(

Seems to be fine again :)

Hey hey :)

Do you have any news relating to potential gigabyte prezzies this month? No use getting an extra account for the rest of the month and then I get slapped with a freebie.
My cap seems to have gone AWOL this month.

Not as yet, I think management are pretty bogged down with the Zest phone launch today. But we won't forget our Capped Bundle clients :)

Okies :)
Sadly I already have a phone, or rather, I have no need for a new phone, so I won't be tipping my hand for that phone ;(

At the price it's a great deal. I must say, having had one for a few days, it's going to be hard to let go of the convenience of the dual SIM. I love my MiFi, but this was very, very convenient for me. I use prepaid voice (i hate contracts) and I've been fighting hard not to do a contract to get Afrihost data on APN - so this was actually perfect for me.

Much sadness will result when I have to give this demo back :(

I just saw your the deal now and if I hadnt just recently purchased a new phone I would definitely have jumped in... im assuming the high demand may mean that you would have to give up yo6r demo just to keep us happy. Maybe next time we can get limited edition Afriman demo model at a discount price?

I just wanted to ask... Im having trouble with my line and am about to send out a ticket describing my slow speeds and line dropping. Is there anywhere I can find a guide or something to help me diagnose the issue myself? I very keen to learn so it would be a cool project.

There's 292 Zests left. You can have mine :D

I prefer prepaid too, and I enjoy having my MiFi on my desk at work ;)

That's a nice idea - an Afriman Zest phone exclusive to MyBB users. Will suggest that (especially if it means I get one to keep) :)

I'm considering returning to the AH fold after leaving during the Great Western Cape IPC capacity depression of '14.

Since I'd likely take a capped package, can anyone in the WC region tell me if things have improved? What are general browsing / streaming / NNTP experiences like during the day / night - especially at 10mbps or above?

Thanks!

I would stay where you are for now. There is still a capacity issue.

This is what my 40Mbit line looks like now:

You never really know what to expect, some days it's fine, other days it's like this (and worse).

EDIT: NNTP is also currently all over the place, getting a bit under half my line speed at the moment.

Just so that you guys are aware, we've had some authentication problems since about 20:30 this evening. Please don't reboot or switch off your router as you may have problems reconnecting until we resolve this on our side :(

Thanks for the update. Will leave my router on, overnight.

On the Capped packages, i see for example 50+50 @ Rxxx. And then an asterix, and at the bottom of the page it refers to end of September the free data expires. Does this mean, that end of September the +50 gigs or whichever package you have taken, will then fall away and then the package is 50 gigs @ Rxxx?

Yes, that's correct. After September you would receive the base package and free data falls away.

Remember though that we may extend or revise the promo. We've done so often in the past, so I wouldn't be surprised if we find a way to extend the free data :)

Thanks for this. Itching to move, but concerned about the promo data. Will watch the space as they say.

LOL, I think if you did that, you would go out out of business so fast you won't know what hit you :D
