All I can say is I feel for you AfriGuy, having to deal with so many irate users is always a challenge. Here's hoping the situation improves in the near future. I myself have suffered with crappy internet for the past few months and just purchases bandwidth from other ISPs until things sort themselves out. Been doing this each time an ISP goes over a bump, which happens more than the average user would suspect.

To all the moaners and groaners, do yourself a favour, get an account with every single ISP you can think of, use them when the product is good, suspend when it gets bad, rinse and repeat.

But they are subject to a degrade in performance as congestion increases?
I'm not completely sold on this product...

Nope, this is only because of the high demand.
It's not something that the accounts are subject to.

Some of it is warranted, I know we aren't seeing the best results at the moment. I think we all know that the network can do better :)

Great! So this is your solution if you don't get what you pay for??? Nice that society is balanced with minds like this!

Usually at 250-260ms. I'm not sure if this is normal or high, perhaps other PS4 BF4 players can check as well?

That's OK for international servers, not sure if there are any local ones around.
Could you run a traceroute here? Want to see if the latency is across the account or just in game.

Anyone else having hassles with BF4?

Here is a traceroute to a server. This looks normal though. I traced to a few servers and they're all +- the same RTT. They also all seem to be based in the Netherlands (31.204.0.0/16).

Hhhmm, this is an odd one. Possibly similar to the Destiny issues we saw.
Was latency good before hand, or has it always been like this in game?

No it isn't always, but it does happen about 3-5 times a week. Perhaps it is just server related? In my test I have seen hop 7 go up to 220ms, but then it calms down again. You rubberband like crazy and can't move, then I know it's time to test. In-game it is quicker as I don't have to lookup the IP first.

Urgh, it's painful regardless though :(
Run some tests tonight, see if you can jam on a US server to see if the results can be replicated?

Cool I'll see what it looks like. From past experience Europe servers always gave better pings than US servers, but I'll give it a go!

Yeah they definitely do, US will be between 350ms and 400ms. Not great, but lets see. Better than 1000ms!

Are you all Johannesburg/Durban based? I am Cape Town based.
When I moved to you guys from Mweb I get about 160-170ms ping to EU West LoL and about 200-250 USA. Mweb was about 20ms higher, which I take to routing.

OK, US is playable but I can "feel" the latency. Hit detection isn't as accurate and I get killed with less power guns than mine more often.

While I'm testing....Here are my Twitch stats. The red in the Buffer line is when it buffers. This was a running graph from a live stream and shows about 30s worth of data and the buffers were 5 and 3 seconds long respectively.
