Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

Just want to know from any of you on a 20Mb VDSL capped account with AH, have your p2p ever exceeded 1.2mbps?
Mine haven't using my AH account but when using another I have gotten 1.8mbps.
@AfriMan/genie, is their a reason for this?
 
How am I suppose to use up my remanding 54GB with such speeds!

I don't know what definite answers we can give without being false. We could say it's coming tomorrow,and then just hope for the best and say definitely tomorrow until it eventually becomes true. The reality is that we don't have a date and we have the same broad assurances from Telkom, it could be literally any moment to day or a week from from. In the past we've eve been given confirmed dates that have not materialised so we'd rather make sure that our client have the most reliable information as we get it.

Good thing I must admit under pressure you guys still reply... Having worked in the Telco environment I totally understand Telkom CICD dates, which they tend to miss more often than not :)... But maybe even just a worse case scenario date to the people ... I think you guys going to have to make it up to clients once this mess is sorted (free gigs and the like) ... My speeds this morning are 1mbps

We'll always look for ways to reward our loyal clients, even if there isn't a technical issue affecting them. I can also promise that the extra investment were making is quite considerable to make sure our clients get a great experience :)

When our network is great I've seen about 1.8MBps peak, but usually hover around 1MB to 1.4MBps
 
I consistently used to get 6Mbit/s+ downstream on my 10Mbit/s line. For the past week (or more?) I'm stuck at about 2.



I hope Afrihost gets this fixed sooner rather than later!

Less then 1Mbps... it seems to have gotten worse.

Is there a possibility of a complete failure today?

We're definitely pushing for soonest. With the East upgrade live, it's a good indication that we're not far away from upgrading other regions.

Even though this is incredibly frustrating and I have muttered numerous curse words, I must however commend the Afrihost on their regular replies to this thread.
 
What's going on? Are there authentication issues atm? I've got nothing on my AH account...

Am using my WA trial account.

I get 3.7MB/s on 40Mb after midnight. The only time the network isn't completely broken...
I got a max of 2.1MB/s when I was on 20Mb.
 
This is what I get using Axxess :

While my Afrihost DL languishes at about 1Mbps.

Both are using MTN data.

What is going on, Afrihost ???
 
@AfriGuy please ensure that you throttle the IOS users and not the adsl Capped users this round for their ridiculous update 8.1
