Anyone else in the Southern region experiencing moments of zero throughput... everything is connected just no data flows.

It seems to be sporadic and random, but for a few moments, everything just seems to die briefly, have to refresh webpage, reload stream, retry download... and then its OK again for a while until it repeats. Only on the Afrihost Capped accounts of mine... other ISPs not experiencing this issue.

Speeds still erratic post-upgrade... hope this is just a symptom of the "recalibration" and "settling" and not a new irritation.

If you mean like this:

Then Yes :)

here seems to be no regular pattern to it, sometimes it can stream for an hour or so, others it drops every couple of minutes.

Well just after 5PM and the line has gone south, just as it was doing befor the IPC update.

So Nothing is changed apart from the status being shown as Green with no regard to testing.

I Guess I will just have to stay on Telkom again this evening and cancel my Afrihost accounts, all 5 of them, before the end of the month. I can no longer accept this lack of Support, silly excuses and flagging things as Resolved with no actual testing. I no longer trust anyone in afrihost or anything they say.

Hi so I decided to change my uncapped account to a 200GB Capped account and I have absolutely no throughput.

I see that when you credited me with the incorrect debit of R289.35, you promptly reversed it again the following day, so you still owe me this amount.

I cancelled my Telkom ADSL, because I couldn't stand their absolutely hopeless admin, but this is even worse.

How do I get this sorted out ???

My line actually seems to be working today - full speed on international tests.
Let's hope that lasts.

My afrihost managed line has now been out from the 12th October. So I have been querying them.

Today Curtis from Afrihost wrote "As previously stated, your fault has been escalated'

Great for me hey.

I have been trying to get meaningful feedback for more than 2 weeks now. And they billed me for the 'no service'. Telkom at least refunds you the cost during the downtime.

Afrihost is worse than Telkom. I have stopped recommending them to my customers.

I guess we are all MTN customers now.
Despite all the promises that nothing would change, Afrihost, as we used to know it, has all but ceased to exist.

Power was out from 4pm to 6.30pm for load shedding. Since coming back up, I keep dropping from the POE servers after ~30 or so seconds of being logged in. My backup account is working just fine so any ideas on what's up on AH's side?

Why is Afrihosts ping 30ms higher than Telkom or IS based accounts? When I play with MTN LTE I get 198ms ping but with afrihost I get 235ms to 240ms with a bit of lag.

Appears it's not just a gaming issue. I can't download anything either without it dropping after a few seconds.

Please help Afrihost.

I transferred my 20Mbps line to Afrihost last month to benefit from the bundle saving [100GB+100GB], got charged pro-rata - fine, and now they have taken my "double-data 100GB" free portion away?! Huh?! See image:

I also updated my 2+2GB mobile account to 5+5GB acct last month for the next two months and after receiving so many invoices in a short period, I've discovered I've got double billed (R145 of the old package) on the debit order for November. Come on Afrihost.

EDIT: Okay no problem with the billing, I obviously have an inability to read statements :D Thanks Afrihost for sorting out the double data! Woohoo! :)
