These results aren't looking good at all :(
Did you run any other troubleshooting? Seeing these results previously, usually a port reset gets these speeds back to normal.

I can't see any anomalies on the IPC last night, did you manage to grab any traceroutes at all?

The local results don't seem too bad, if things are still not up to scratch this morning could you paste a few test results here please?

Very odd, sorry about the poor experience here :(
The upgrades have already been implemented so you shouldn't be seeing any degradation in your service. Have you been in touch with our Support team to troubleshoot further?

Can I assume the destination |No response from host| is your exchange?

No problems with others... only Afrihost.
Packet loss also only occurs on Afrihost as well.

Axxess nowhere near as flaky as the AH Capped accounts.

EDIT:

I can run an Axxess thingy if you so desire?

Can someone from AH please have a look at support ticket #FSX-440-85104?

It's now purely an accounts issue however no feedback since Saturday from them. Only response is from support which is totally irrelevant to the matter at hand... :whistle:

Have a 2mbps Capped account. Network is very slow, youtube is crawling, steam is dying! But when switch over to a Telkom capped account every is normal. WTH afrihost???

Did these tests. Not sure if they are normal or not.

It's back to normal, must have been a stress in Cape Town at the time or something, Athens is 235ms and Rome is 237ms.
 
Well, I signed up for a capped account today and I'm far from impressed.

It was good during business hours, but now this...

This is on a 4Mbps line. I've also tested it on another 4Mbps line and same result.
 
Aaaand the packet loss begins... latency takes a hit... and this is probably considered normal for Afrihost's MTN connection.

:(

I did local speedtests today to Cape Town MTN hosted server... and the best it could muster was 53ms.

The same account using Vodacom or MWEB server for the speedtest... 9ms-11ms.

Speedtest to JHB hosted by MTN 77ms... to Vodacom under 44ms.

And I was told that this is normal and there is nothing wrong with MTN and Afrihost latency.
