40Mbit.

Can't even remember when last this account actually performed for more than one day in a row. I come home knowing that speeds will disgusting. The people managing your network need to be fired....

Haha, my 40Mbit is better than yours! :D

As much as we try to keep these types of changes during quiet times, to a certain degree we need to also be able to see how these changes affect client account performance, and how the network behaves with the software changes in affect.

ok some advice and it might help AH ... when you plan to distribute updates or tweaks on the network. Inform your users, tell them something like
"time of deployment:
estimated duration:
Hi all valued customers please note we upgrading and tweaking our network, so be aware that there might be network slowdowns on both your international and local internet usage"

trust me on this, it will go a long way being proactive regarding comms with your customers. Seen too many business go for **** simply because they dont communicate with their customers effectively enough. id be much more comfortable knowing that a patch is being applied to the network that will take 10hours to deploy and that way ill make alternative plans. Currently i get the feeling (and im sure most people feel the same way) that AH doesn't know what the h3ll they doing! seems like you guys are in a panic back there

EDIT: bottom line you losing customers ... what are you guys doing about it? just on one page here, two customers have left.

effective customer management has
1. data analytics around customer profiles, to better serve and provide customized service
2. identifying customer touch points and ensuring these are "good" experiences for customers
3. Effective communications with customers in all channels (well some of us on this forum know about the so called tweaks and upgrades, what about those people not on this forum, they very much in the dark)

Exactly! It was suggested to them before, it seems Client Centricity is not part of their Mission Statement!

Why are these changes not communicated to your stakeholders/clients??? Our company's internet is hosted by a large ISP and we get notifications every time maintenance/upgrades/changes are made that could affect our connectivity/performance. The AH reps keep saying this forum is for feedback, but the lack of transparency is resulting in everyone complaining about you in this forum or other social media. Only today we hear that there were changes made over the weekend and when users complained on Monday, they were told there no issues on the network!

I've had enough of this BS.

Going to cancel the 200+200 GB account for R799 and go to Webafrica's 200+400 account for R599. Might have to download after midnight occasionally but that's not a big deal. Easy enough to schedule.

So I'll get 200 GB more and pay R200 less.

No brainer.

400ms ping ffs wtf .... of any month with the 12 months of the freaking year, NOVEMBER is not a time to f pings up

This: to launch a suite of value-added services called Afrihost Plus+

Are you fcking kidding me?

Afribots and Genie whom I trusted.

You guys lied out right your not fixing the network. You where deploying a new software package to accommodate the value added services.

Fml.

If my cap account gets shapes/throttled/what ever you want to call it then I'm out.

The only reason I came back with my one line is because AF was the only ISP that offered what you see is wat you get now all a sudden you sneaky bastards where busy installing and preparing for your new line of Bolt-on features.

Thanks Gian/MTN

If this starts it will only be the beginning. Af is dead.

OMG I just tried my Afrihost acc again - Streaming is totally and utterly useless!! (8:20pm)
Funny downloads and speed test is OK.

Too make matters worse - live http streaming and rtmp on Axxess has also gone to sh*t since Monday!
The only thing they have in common is MTN.

Guess it's back to OW for me I can't live with this.
