on the clientzone you can set the settings on whether it should email or sms you and on which % of the cap reached

I'll have to check out your account. Usually a downgrade should only take effect in the new month because you should have a valid data link until the end of the month. Can you please PM me?

I was watching YouTube with my daughter last night was working like a bomb. Too well in fact. She watches this channel called DisneyCarToys - it's like SpongeBob on crack!! I wouldn't mind a little buffering here and there ;)
 
Hello,

I am also experiencing same high latency in Teamspeak and gaming. TeamSpeak is around 39ms-40ms. World of Warcraft normally that is 230-290ms is now 340-500ms. My download speed also little unstable.

Here is some speedtest:

By looking at the speeds tests, my download speeds is not so stable as well.

My trace route shows there no problem, but in speedtest I get abnormal high latencies and team speak as well.

Hi!

I got your PM, I'm looking into this from my side, and should have feedback shortly for you.
 
Wtf is going on. My capped account i get 25kb/s. I switch to my free 1gb account and 400kb/s. Both are unshaped apparently. This is downloading the exact same file from the exact same server.

To (misquote) George Orwell “All accounts are unshaped, but some accounts are more unshaped than others.”

I am sure there is a simple explanation but the cynic in me wants to think that the free accounts are to woo potential customers with an example of great throughput. I never did understand why Unshaped Accounts have a profile but it is often blamed for situations like this.

That's very unusual. Unshaped is unshaped, so the accounts are literally the same.

Can you PM and give me a run down of how you tested this?

Free GB accounts are regular capped accounts with only one exception, that they are locked to a single DSL line. I think if we baited people with free accounts that performed differently to paid accounts, we'd know about it by now.

There really should be no difference, the policy which makes it unshaped is exactly the same acting on traffic. But remember that you get a different IP address and establish a new connection a server or torrent and it's sometimes not exactly the same conditions. Also, I find that on problematic lines, changing accounts does improve line synch and stability initially and it sometimes seems like one account is better than another.
 
26KB/s download? Trying to get DirectX. LoL extreme buffering on spectator.

EDIT: And back to normal again.

Mine just dropped too, one second I was watching USTREAM at 400KBs and it suddenly dropped to 25KBs.
Switched to Telkom account and USTREAM is back up at 310KBs.

Missed 5 min of the broadcast which is annoying.
I will stay on Telkom again for a while, afrihost is now too unreliable in Cape Town for anything mission critical.
