Is your sms system a bit clogged?
I just received an sms saying my one account is 85% finished.... I was on 85% on Monday (this now from last month), so it's a good 48 late :p

It could be. Sometimes the carriers do weird things and SMSes arrive late or not at all. Was probably sent on time and got lost somewhere along the way.

Better late than never? ;)
 


Just waiting for the techie to finish up and then it should be almost twice that :D
 
Thanks for doubling the data on my 84Gb package, but I had to "downgrade" to a 100Gb package last night.
All fine and well having 167Gb of data for the same price as what I was paying, but I struggled to use up all of last month's data with the surprise extra data stuff Gian was throwing our way and still had something like 24 or 25Gb left when end of month came around, so that was lost.

I still love Afrihost though:D

Problem with a fast line is that bigger comes down faster.
 
Any one else receiving over 300 ping to Eu with afrihost ? just tested with Telkom and Mweb ( both capped products ) and get 180-220 ping. Yet with the 1 gig free from afi im getting over 300 with lots of jitter.

Wanting to sign up with for a 1 meg uncapped . But those pings don't look promising for gaming :(

Oh, but I did have issues with the speedtest to international destinations today. Latency of 355ms then, but if I ping to bbc I got 179ms.

Downgrades are never cool - are you sure you're looking in the right places to use your data? :D

These latencies are definitely too high for an EU connection :(
Could you maybe post up a traceroute here so we can see where the latency is being introduced?

What is going on with your speeds?
International is horrible and local is acceptable.. Cape Town is full speed.

I just did a test and really Afrihost your international speed are not up to scratch!

I got your mail, and we're busy running tests on our side. So far seem fairly normal, but clearly these are pretty horrible results you're seeing. I've asked Critical Care to get in touch and work through this with you, I'll also run some tests of my own to see if I can replicate what you're seeing.
 
I am able to connect with my Gamco, FNB and M-Web accounts however the free 1GB Afrihost account is giving invalid username/password constantly.

I copy pasted and manually entered the credentials from my client panel at-least five times to guarantee I am not using wrong details.

I can confirm this as well.

Tried to log onto with the free 1 gig afri acc before I went to work at 4pm yesterday. Trying again now and still telling me I am using wrong details :(
