Why is there no mention of the DNS problems on the Network Status page, this started last night already. Or am I just not looking properly ?

Yup nothing on their FB page nor their site; I have just sent Afriman specifics which might help them diagnose the issue. I don't think they know what the problem is right now, but try telling that to all my ADSL clients :(

But this is exactly what pisses clients off, whether Afrihost know what the problem is or not, the least they can do is put a notice up saying there is an issue with certain Int sites, DNS etc before people (like me ) clear their cache and cookies etc etc trying to connect to certain sites, now I've got the joy of having to re-login to all my sites again.

We don't believe our DNS cluster or servers are down, this seems to be limited to specific sites hosted by Cloudflare - though most seem to be working again.

If you are still getting errors, please give me specific sites that I can test and report :(

A bit late now, as I already cleared my cache ,cookies and changed DNS to Google etc To get it working. If there was at least a notice up on your network status page this morning (seeing as this issue started last night already) I wouldn't have had to do what I did.

We are still investigating on our side and should we feel that the issue has reached a more critical state, we'll definitely recommend the network status be looked into. For now we don't believe the bulk of the internet is affected, and so far we're still limited to mostly sites on Cloudflare (which are now intermittently working)

Hi All,

My 10Mb Line is really under performing on afrihost, I keep on asking them to assist, they reply and a dy later I am back to crappy speeds http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2596718505.png

I have given up on trying to get more than 3-4 MB out of my 10Mb line

Any tips?

The latency is a little high, something we'd need to look into.
Is there a ticket ref# we can look at?

Dunno what's happening here. Is latency fluctuating or throughput? or both?

Meh. Same problem as last night now.

I had an update going, chugging along nicely. 1MBps, then drops down, starts, stops, and then dies.

I ran a pingtest and a traceroute, and tonight it's the same as last night:

Looks mostly normal here. But concerned about the packet loss. :(

Our Mtn line at the office also had issues yesterday maybe its an mtn issue?

Did you get any feedback from them on the cause. I saw some mixed reports so it's a little hard to get an idea. Also seemed to intermittently manifest on Mobile :(

Anybody else having problems with their clientzone.

I get an Oops Error on trying to access my capped account.

Also had authentication problems on ADSL connection, but that seems to be working now.
