It was better than usual between around 8pm and 10pm. Before and after that it was at its usual bad level. And this "good phase" was only last night, haven't noticed it before. At around midnight again even browsing was nigh impossible again. (Btw still talking about uncapped here, just an FYI since you mentioned the uncapped accounts)

OK, it's a bit confusing mixing the products up. Maybe we should take this convo back to the Uncapped thread so we can get feedback from other Uncapped users if their experience was the same.

From Microsoft explanation:
If the problem continues then the problem is that your Internet Service Provider is blocking port 25 on the outgoing mail server. ISPs do this to prevent spam on their network. When this happens you will need to use the mail server that they provide you instead of your own. The mail server is generally smtp.yourISPname.com, however, it could be different so please contact your ISP to get the details.

Can you look into this. As said it was working. Not another problem created?

We don't really block any hosts or IPs on our DSL. If it's for a specific address the domain may be unreachable. If it's general mail I would look at your sending SMTP host (if you're using outgoing mail set your domain or our SMTP). Depending on which, try to ping the domain, or telnet on port 25 into the SMTP server.

Maybe drop me a PM if you need a little more help with this.

I can't receive emails.. It's been over a week now! Afrihost changed the A Records on my domain in order to point my domain to the wix site I created. Since then I haven't been able to receive any emails. If I send myself an email, I get an email back stating that the message has been delayed. I've called, I've PM'ed, etc.. Nothing.

Eh, I mean, it's just for my business.. Who needs emails?..

Could you send me a PM with your domain name so that I can look into this from my side. If it is the A-Name records that were changed I will just need to make a quick change on my side.

Northern IPC has been in a few days, the current calibration you're doing, would this affect latency?

My WA account gets a 171 ping to the UK while my AH pulls in at 220, with an absolute minimum of 190. Will this change or ever be similar/better than WA?

Latency shouldn't really be affected by this.
Do you have any results that I can check?

Amazing how NOTHING has changed since a year ago!! I came across this while looking for recommendations on another ISP.

So I ran out of data 2 days back. Afrihost asked me if I would like to buy out of bundle data. I agree, and reply to there text messages: 1 Gig. Second text message: "Are you sure?" Yes.
2days later, I have not received my 1 gig of data.
Asked Afriman/Afriguy to investigate. No reply. I guess he couldn't care less.
