You should have some throughput but it will be painfully slow. We're doing what we can to stabliise with the info and resources we have, just want to be sure we don't make it worse until we know what the cause is.

Chat to Mweb and Telkom. They don't seem to be affected :(

I am sitting here watching S2E9 of blacklist and Thor has no trough put on his Thunder Pipe, He He, first time I have not been Jealous :)

But bahaha, guess I deserve this, had a lekker legendary streak of no issues on afrihost for a while.

From what I've read Mweb and Telkom unaffected. AH/CW/WA all taking a hit.

I didn't win a CW account so cant comment, but WA is also taking a hit rendering my line almost useless.

Af on the other hand is critically affected.

At least they are working on it as we speak.

It's all swings and roundabouts, You went for the Best line and I opted to spend it on Backup accounts.
I think that 90% of the time you made the best choice.
Just this once I got to switch to a non affected account, but on a monthly basis I have to pay Telkom, Afrihost, Webafrica and Mweb in order to always have that contingency.

I just switched over to My Tekom account and everything is fine so I doubt it is telkom, unless they route everyone else via a different link to themselves.

EDIT:

Fine on speed test and Ping that is, bad on Streaming but then it is Shaped to H#!!
Still better than AH though as, at least, it is buffering fast.

From other information on other services I am involved with, it looks like there is a problem with an IPNet router in Bellville.

We (Telkom Internet) don't have any IPC circuits, or any SAIX circuits used for ADSL customers on this router, we have circuits on the *other* router in the same location.

Thanks Ranger, good to know.

Why you have your own routers...that's not fair :)

You Sir needs your own dedicated thread.

Insiders Digest or something!
