Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

Just finished playing a Matchmaking game with my friend. Loss hovered around 5-10% and mumble had 3%. Switched to my Telkom account it was 0%. I can't tell you the IP address of the MM servers as I don't know how you find them, they aren't publicly listed.

Not really sure what to tell you. Sadly this has been going on for a while now and Afrihost has become unreliable for gaming, at least down here for me :/

You can see it in console after you join

Same,dota2 and battlefield is no plesure anymore..battlefield feels like one shot kills cause of packet loss,dota stutters every 10-20sec

Fingers crossed our team spots something that we can replicate and implement a fix from there.
Is anyone else seeing this too?

I know over 10 people personally who have the same issue. They are all in the South.
 
wow download speeds this evening on torrents are flying at 8kbs on a 10mb line.

I've had constant 5-10% loss tonight and now it's getting even worse.

Just finished a matchmaking game with someone else who had heavy loss and he also said his ISP was Afrihost.

*EDIT that in game pic was taken from the same server as the IP I sent you. It's not from the MM one.

**EDIT Reconnecting my account no longer fixes it.

We're working very hard to :) We should have a bit more feedback tomorrow.

I'm still experiencing packet loss/latency with the test account while gaming. Here are the traceroute and speedtest results (on my 10Mbps line).

Torrents are absolutely dead on my 2mb capped account. I set up 3 things - about 1gb to download YESTERDAY evening. None have finished. Currently they are bouncing around at 1KB/s..... Normal downloads are fine - 200KB+. What gives???

How on earth can you guys not replicate this issue? I find that so hard to believe.
