Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

I'm currently getting half the line-speed and double the ping, when I compare my Afrihost to WebAfrica account.

I have Telkom as a dial-up connection, as soon as I connect it switches to full line speed.

According to Afrihosts website, the network is fine, I can only therefore assume they throttle their capped accounts after a certain amount of data is used in a day. I was fine this morning, and then suddenly exactly 50%.

I'm trying to get down a 15GB file

Same here, switched to my Telkom account to see whats up in MyBB.
Same old issues day in and day out. complain till you blue in the face.
No Support after hours, and false hope every day.

Looks like the current issue is a DNS issue. Change your DNS to use google's.
My afrihost account was dead, changed to google's dns and working fine.

My internet is very intermittent. Went down for while as well. I'm only getting 5Mbps of my 40 Mbps.

On Webafrica test account it's brilliant.

Yup, very slow for me in CPT ...3mb/s on a 20mb line. Torrents are worse.
