What do you require, all speed tests and traceroutes look good. It just doesn't stream for ****e..
I've run through a few tests on YouTube this morning and it seems all good. Try switching around DNS to see if that helps.

Just decided to play League for the first time in a while. Afrihost is still clearly the worst ISP for gaming. Everything else is amazing.

Yup gaming is pathetic, switch to my Telkom uncapped account and everything is perfect.
I know we've had some problems with traffic management over the last few weeks, and our team is busy working on this to improve gaming experience especially. We've managed to look at quite a few popular titles and we'll keep testing them as we make changes to ensure the best gaming experience possible.

Issue is still with the packetloss on your network. End of last year you made some changes after the IPC upgrade. Thing is that Axxess have the exact same issue, which seems to me that the issue lies somewhere on the actual MTN backbone, but then again what do I know.
sorry man, but there is a wide gulf that has developed between "Customer Service" (still good) and the "Network Performance" (Abysmal).
I experienced this first hand ever since i got my XBONE. party chat and gaming was extremely unstable. I had chalked it down to being a LIVE issue. but i eventually got gatvol last night and tested out a trial account from another ISP. holy moly, what a HUGE difference! rock solid and not a single party/game issue.
i'm afraid that packet loss on AH Capped is a significant issue. so much so, that i have been forced to cancel my account :-(
Service is a constant, or at least it can be. That's what we believe. Technical issues - not so much
I know our network is showing some funnies at the moment, but when it runs well it is just as good as our service, and I think that's what we'd love to see all year round.
We definitely agree that packet loss is something serious and I promise we're taking any instances like this very, very seriously
Not looking to play Devils Advocate here, but this packet loss issue has been ongoing for at least 2 months now maybe a little longer, and there really have been no signs of improvement at all. I've submitted numerous tests and reports and downloaded apps and sent the data to you guys only to never hear anything back about it. It's really very frustrating
I totally understand and if there was a switch or setting that would make it go away, I would have done it - believe me
Our team are working on a complex set of rules, signatures and interleaving hardware to get this right and all of this while the network is currently serving all our clients. So there is a lot of caution and testing offline to try to get this as right as possible before we deploy, so we'd obviously do that systematically and in increments to avoid downtime on the network.
I promise this is a priority for us and we've flown people in to help us and we're not avoiding any costs or decisions to get the job done![]()
We are also wanting to make sure that we have enough capacity and if our traffic is optimised, we can plan for additional capacity for the future, in terms of IPC.
Am I reading correctly? Are you saying that Afrihost is out of IPC capacity again?
I hope not, I don't really want another 5 years of laggy internet while telkom tries to upgrade the IPC

Oh crud... no. Just no.
Look I understand its no easy task and there is a lot involved. The issue is that I have the exact same problem if I use my Axxess account. I mean it is literally the same problem. Packet Loss etc etc. Now both run on the MTN backbone, surely you cannot tell me that this is a mere coincidence?
Keep calm and carry on downloading
We're not there yet![]()
