Are you seeing any issues with News Servers other than the Afrihost one?

I don't use any others but at the time it goes dead all p2p goes dead: nzb or torrent. Browsing and video not impacted at all.

*edit* funny enough, my windows weather gadget also can't connect anymore, just says service unavailable and this was specifically once I changed from my uncapped account to the current capped one.

Huh... Now that shouldn't be happening. So with the Uncapped account the widgets work perfectly?

What is your DNS currently set to?
 
I actually had a chat with our Dev Team on Friday, and our Network Management Software is able to unwrap VPN traffic and identify what sort of the traffic is contained in the VPN.

If the VPN is terminated on your side, or if your server is posing as the destination server it could be possible, otherwise no, the point of a VPN is to encrypt and hide, so your system would not in my view be able to inspect inside the tunnel.
 
D3 is definitely a title we've always had rules in place for (for Uncapped at least) and it works on shaped or unshaped accounts. Nothing has changed on those rules, though it's possible that during peak periods high latency may affect matchmaking/connecting.

When we've tested D3 in general, it should be working well :(

See I dont get this im NOT uncapped, I have a capped acount D3 this packet loss issue isnt a personal one its EVERYONE here, Look at every game title that is having issues in the last 60 posts : LoL , Dota2, CS:GO, PoE, GTA , D3 , WoW. So what I am hearing is at 18:00+ on afrihost the "peak" time we have to accept bad latency/packet loss when NO other ISP has this issue? I am getting really confused because a few weeks ago I hear it was my lines problem now its "peak" time causing this issue. I have so many people around CT who are posting in this thread all from different area's ALL gamers some of them from the MGO's in this country pointing out this EXACT same problem. It has been 3 months since I brough this issue up and over the last 3 months I have been told so many different things even though the actual problem hasnt changed and since starting to be a part of this thread I am clearly not alone. So lets check this :

Who here that uses afrihost for gaming in CT from 18:00 is having a good experience?

If you are still having issues with packet loss and latency with specific games we'll definitely need to get our Critical Care Team to work with you to figure out why this is happening.

At one point we weren't managing the Uncapped accounts shaping correctly, and this was having a direct affect on latencies and packet loss for a great deal of users, but there should have been a definitely improvement over the past week.
 
Yep, was a business uncapped though so no shaping.

There shouldn't be any difference between the Business Uncapped and the Capped account...

Are you seeing the same DNS settings picked up by the ADSL modem between the two accounts?

Yes and I load custom dns as well.

*edit* actually have two machines running, one on standard afrihost dns and the other unotelly.
 
Our Critical Care Team is still working on getting your connection sorted, and I am sure they will have you running smoothly and speedily very soon.

The critical care team looking at my account too? Been having the same issues as kohlhtor.
