You're probably on their shaped account, check the wording of your account in clientzone, and maybe upgrade to unshaped?

Since when did this happen? My account (that I have had for years) has never been shaped before.

If you look closer you will see 20% loss at cloudflare. The trace was to www.afrihost.com
Not sure what is going on at Cloudflare, but it's been going on intermittently since Saturday.

They did this underhanded move when the double data promo ended and instead of putting you back on what you were on and give you half the cap (same as before double data), they decided in their wisdom to leave people with more data but shaped. You have to manually change back.

Are you seeing Afrihost.com timeout for you? Or is it just slow?

We made sure to notify all our Capped Clients about the changes. I don't think it's fair to say it was underhanded as we were clear about the options available to you.

You could either lock in the Double Data permanently or opt to have the Double Data end on your package and then receive Unshaped Capped data.

It's still possible to get Double Data using Plus+ on a either a Shaped or Unshaped Capped account.

Before all the nice shiny promotions I was paying R699 per month for a 400gb unshaped bundle (telkom dsl line rental included, or whatever it is called) set up but Gian himself as the unshaped goodness of Business Uncapped had ended (another underhanded situation, in my opinion). When all the promotions ended, I would have had to pay over R1000 a month to stay on a 400gb unshaped bundle. That was not what I signed up for. I suppose I should have expected it since the Business Uncapped debacle. Hence, I have moved on.

The Capped accounts were Capped accounts, when the split occurred both options were available to our Clients. To be very clear, when the change happened, and even now, you can still switch to an Unshaped Product. The Unshaped products remained at the same size when the Double Data promotion ended and you could choose to Double your Data if you opted for a Shaped Capped account.

But at a higher price. As i said - I was paying R699 for 400gb bundle before the promotions. Then after the promotions I would have had to pay over R1000 for 400gb bundle. I was not upset that the promotions ended. I was upset that I would have to pay a lot more to stay on what I had before the promotions started. But anyways, not going to get into this again. Was just stating that the way things were done were not on, in my opinion. Have a good day.
