i am on a capped acount
Not needed. My line speed increased to 10Mbps from the usual 8.6Mbps.Openserve might have changed your line profile type. 22ms is definitely still good. I'll check it out with them if you'd like to try and get the 6ms back. Please drop me a PM reminding me of your line info.
once again shaping is on this time of the morning
What sort download speeds are you getting?
after midnight it was less than halve line speeds and very inconsistant at the moment speeds are not that great with slow and jerky browsing
anybody else having speed and browsing problems since last night

I've had some intermittent connection issues from late Friday to early Saturday... Fortunately for me a Telkom port reset solved it.
No issues since the reset.Glad to hear you got it fixed. How are things running today?
Is there a way to see if my capped account is shaped? Should it affect pings?

Not ideal... Should there be such a large difference? When gaming, there is definitely a notable latency on the Afrihost account.
Shaping won't affect your latency at all. To which gaming servers are you seeing the spikes in latency?
It's direct connection between me and my friend. Project Cars. On VOX it improved immediately. I haven't used Afrihost since, and now I'm scared because I ordered fibre from you and if I have the same latency it would be very disappointing.
The Fibre runs on a different infrastructure to DSL, I'm pretty sure you'll have a better experience on Fibre.
Since I've been waiting for 2 months for Openserve to call to install, I'd be great if I could actually use the internet that I currently have and I'm paying for... Which is not the case.
