Hi - latency is up and down. Tested tonight at 409ms but yesterday it was 26ms. So, I don't think that is the issue - the issue is the download speed. I'm not at home during the day - so not sure what it's like then. I have run tests @ 16:30, 19:30, 20:00 and it's consistently slow - ranging between 1.22mbps and 2.76mbps
Just making the rounds to let you all know that AH is still performing poorly.
This is to YT

ps. They aren't keen to figure out why so many people in the south are having constant problems.
Is Youtube the only service you're having trouble with at the moment? How is regular browsing and P2P?
Are you seeing this latency on a speedtest? Might be caused by exchange issues...Please ping bras.afrihost.com for me?
This morning @ 06:00 the line is flying! 3.6mbps download and pinging at 24ms (both on the speedtest and pinging bras.afrihost.com). I'll test again tonight.
Thanks for the update! Please let us know if there is any change.
Ping bras.afrihost.comHi. Struggeling to download a backup file from my SVN repository. When I start the download my connection speed dies.
I am on a capped unshaped account, so it should not be shaping.
I am not even going to try to do a speedtest, but my 4th hop shows a 2720 ms ping time...

If you see high latency to the BRAS, it is one of two things. Either exchange congestion or line saturation.
Bras latency means something is seriously wrong there. Between your router and the exchange backhaul...
It's looking a bit better now, but still some latency. 12:30 pm on Sunday 7 May:

99% of the time that is exchange congestion. Try a trace so we can see path?
Here it is. It looks a bit funny, because from hop 8 onwards the latency disappears, but that is the way it has been going all day, speed up and down all the time.
The latency starts on hop 3.

It's funny, I was gonna post tonight for support, in general with regards to the bad throughput Ive been getting (especially 6-10) and the extra special game latencies...
But after reading a few pages of peoples problems and no solutions my new question is: Which ISP can I move to for gaming, nntp & streaming? Thanks...
