Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

Any download gives the same result. Youtube streaming at full speed.

Browsing feels laggy, which is expected given the higher latencies.

I've posted about this evening issue plenty of times. Have finally logged a ticket, otherwise there is no tracibility.

Do you have an improved experience today? I'll keep an eye on the progress of your ticket as well.

My internet went dead for about an hour yesterday and Youtube playback is a nightmare at certain times. Afrihost is great for me most times. This reminds me of the issue's they had a year or so ago which was blamed on the MTN merger. Their call center gave some BS excuses, only for them to apologize later. Wont be taking that BS again.

I got no time to look at graphs and reports, ping this and trace that. Do that at work all day. Just want my internet to work when i get home. There is so many ISP's out there, the support and service is all that differentiate these companies. With AH for a while now, dnt like to leave but...

I really hope that you don't decide to go that route. :( I know you mentioned that you don't want to run any tests, but it would definitely help us to determine the cause of your issues. It would be amazing if everyone could go home to perfect internet every day, but sometimes variables creep in that have to be identified and addressed. Happy to help you out! :)

Not to be funny, but my ticket and complaints are about the experience in the evening. Asking at 2pm if it's better does not really help. During the day has never been the issue.
I've also not really received a word from anybody at Afrihost about my ticket.

The problem is back again not even a month later. My line is again only syncing at 6.4Mbps instead of 8Mbps.

I have sent you guys a PM once again with my details. If I don't have to wait 8 days again for feedback like in July, that would be great.

Is there a reason why I just get ignored every time I post or send you guys a PM?

Again the same story. Http downloads down to a snails pace. Fluctuating massively from 120Kb down to 40, then 0 then up to 40 again.

Usenet running at almost full speed and YouTube also not an issue.

O wow the speed is an absolute thrill. Unshaped internet at it's best.

I'm worried about that latency. :( Can you please run a traceroute to afrihost.com quickly.

Thanks! I've asked our Network Team to check what's going on.

Everything 100% dead again, becoming a regular occurrence.

That's very strange... Did you manage to get back online?

About 45 minutes later, happened to a few other people on Afrihost that i know in my area.
