AfriHost CEO explains why the network has been underperforming..

I checked your account out after you told me what city I live in. Dont you think those fingers you are pointing are pointing back at you. I wanted to check if you were a real person with legitimate questions or a troll account to cause crap. Based on your posts you are not here to positive.

I dont believe you first a second.

This is hilarious. I only checked out domaincheap (yesterday, I think) because you suggested they have the cheapest domain registrations. Hence, your sales pitch worked. In that thread I simply asked if you had anything to do with the company, which you've only confirmed for me now. I don't think I've ever looked at your profile. Why would I?

If I'm a troll account then, you sir, are a DA shill. I don't mind if you don't believe me, but I think my first account was started on here in about '09 or so. I have two going at the moment. Not that it's important.

Carry on stalking me, though, if you must.

Im just showing people what you really are :) Now that they have seen you can enjoy your friday. I know I certainly will :) Your account is a troll sockpuppet account which you are using to attack with. You are using this account either because you are too cowardly to use your normal name or because your other names have been banned. Which is it?

PS, if reading your posts on this forum is stalking. Everyone here is a stalker. lol.

Stalker, much?

So what? Most of your posts are about the DA, but it doesn't bother me lol. And, no, I haven't looked through your post history, it's just something I've noticed over the years I've been commenting on MyBB. Yes, KillerBOB isn't my first, or only, account here.

He's trying to say that people that only complain chase away company reps.

Most people here are quite childish with their complaints. If they were adults there would be more constructive feedback going on.

Instead we get threads in all caps "THIS ISP IS THE WORST EVER!!!!111".

That's not constructive at all.

Thanks mate :) Be careful, though, because I might show people who you REALLY are.

Many people know who I am. Woooh. Big revelation *mufasa*. Your account will just be banned if you post personal information though, so let me know how that works out for you. You wont be the first or the last person to post my personal information on here. *yawn*

Hahaha...is ghoti/fish your real name?

In the past, when Gian has sent out an update on a network fault it resulted in calls to Support increasing well beyond our capacity to answer each call timeously. I am not making an excuse, but having a hundred or so callers waiting at least 20 minutes for a call, is definitely not the way we want things to happen.

The reaction our users had to the Plus+ launch, and the feedback Gian received will definitely impact how we handle future instances.

Sorry, I disagree. Afrihost's deliberate silence has wasted everyone's time. From September for 8 weeks I bounced back and forth with your support team about erratic issues and it was either blamed on my equipment, then Telkom, then the weather, the copper, my modem, the services I use and a ton of other excuses. If your comment had been "We are experiencing serious network issues, which can not guarantee a consistent level of service and we do not have an idea by when we can resolve it", I would have moved in September already and perhaps returned to AH once your problems are fixed.

So for the last 8 weeks you have not only wasted my time, but also charged for services with mediocre quality. You have wasted my productivity, inconvenienced my working hours as I had to either work out of the office or had to use 3G data to get some consistent service and productivity dropped my almost 50% resulting in having to work extra long as I your network could not provide me with a consistent service.

A honest and caring business would have manned up and admitted to the issues upfront. Companies with that attitude deserve my loyalty, but Afrihost has lost this ever since you got into bed with MTN and you are now no different than any of the other corporates.

I still fail to see how your executive team was deluded enough to attempt to launch a new product amidst all the service complaints and technical issues - that must be the biggest marketing mistake ever with the most inappropriate timing, which tells me that the company was trying to attempt to scoop up extra cash/customers and ignoring their existing bleeding/churning customer base.

In my opinion, you should rather look after your existing customers and go back to basics. You did well 12 months ago, so maybe it is time to revisit your decisions and the compromises you made in order to please your shareholders.

Actually the first round of IPC issues was 12 months ago.

I think it is safe to say that we all learned some very important lessons over the past few weeks, and it will definitely influence how future product launches and network issues are dealt with.

I will be staying with Afrihost as they have sorted out their issues with my line and account, all i can say is well done with the great work and support :D
Also, are you still shaping uncapped accounts? mine says its not shaped in clientzone!? Lets hope that stays that way. can someone explain why its not shaped an if it will stay like that? To Afrihost and the whole team i say Well Done!! Most EPIC ISP in SA. I will be supporting you guys for many more years. :D

Out of the whole post by MagicDude this is what you come back with?

Very curious to see what you guy say to say about all the time many of us have wasted due to finger pointing to other variables because you guys decided not to publically admit to massive underlying problem sooner?

Afrihost.........I'm on 10 meg Capped.................................THANX-good speeds and now and then slowing, used my 200 gig almost for this month, and yes, I appreciate what you guys are doing.

For the rest of the other moaning people out there, maybe you should try and BUY your games and software, and dont moan because you couldnt download 80gigs in 23 mins....!!

Thanx afri
