Afrihost cutting Openserve fibre prices

IF ONLY

Great to read they are putting thieir prices down..For who?
I'd be quite happy for them to double the price if they arranged a Fibre line to my neighbourhood before I die

If you go thru ISPAfrika for your Openserve 100Mbps and get 100GB from Afrihost the combined total is R828 against R947 they are asking for the bundled deal, so how is this a good deal for anybody?

And btw, I thought they stopped the sub 100Gb accounts so how is it possible to offer 25GB and 50GB bundled accounts?

If you buy a small cap account(25GB & 40 or 100 Mbps), can u use your existing large cap adsl account with it?

Reason: I have a large shared adsl login and ideally would like to use this with Fibre keeping other sites on adsl.

Having separate accounts cost more and is kinda pointless. Also enjoying having a big account not worrying about individual accounts

Although I'm 100% for choice, IMO all capped data should be unshaped at the cheaper price point.

I did, I went with a provider that charges the same as their shaped accounts but is unshaped.
It's a beautiful thang! :)

Who plz??

Do ah shape netflix and origin? Is it unshapped between 12 and 8?

Not to stray too far OT, but:

Vox.
Everything immediately felt "snappier" when I changed. (I gave AH's shaped capped account a good 4 months and in my experience it definitely did not feel the same as when it was unshaped -regardless of what they say.)
Also, with Vox the roll-over of data is 6 months and I'm sure there's some "free time" somewhere in there as well -probably something like 12am-6am or 8am, I'm not sure.

Yup.
The Fat Pipe account isn't shaped.

If you're referring to the AH account, everything always just felt a little sluggish at random times. If I had to pin a time for when it got "bad" I'd probably say around 4pm-8pm...?

( I put "bad" in inverted commas, because it wasn't as if it was unusable, but you tube clips would need a little more time buffering and the download speeds wouldn't be full line speed. )
