How bad/good is afrihost email hosting in terms of stability?

I have a client that has a email package with them but someone else is administrating it. They seem to have constant minor issues. Sometimes for half a day no emails will come through at all then suddenly the whole backed up bunch come through at once. Occasionally outlook will report en error.

The latest is that the domain cannot receive emails via a third party ISP (Breedenet) and sometimes Vodacom, i realise this could be a routing issue with the ISP but the problems just keep stacking up.

At the time the problematic domain isn't working a different domains emails is working fine on the same computer(s).

Avoid Afrihost. I always had problems with downtime.
I moved to Google Business and never looked back.

For reference, Afrihost seems to be having a huge problem right now. Haven't been able to get into ClientZone for a while now. Their website is also down.

I'd say avoid Afrihost. Use a smaller, more reliable hosting company that isn't tied to MTN.

Edit: It appears things are back up now... Finally in ClientZone. Must have been a DNS issue.
