Recent billing issue found with mtn where they billing for accessing LTE.

Afrihost claims innocence.

Afrihost bunch of crooks. They knew and never told customers. They milked the system.

I think this is a disingenuous response to Afrihost’s actions – just looking for the negative. Afrihost clearly tried to protect their customers, otherwise they would not have addressed the issue with MTN.

It is also commendable that Afrihost is willing to publicly state that they have tried to resolve the problem with MTN, and what happened behind the scenes.

They only addressed the issue after the news broke. Timing is a bit dodge to be honest.

Really? How did Afrihost make money out of the situation?

Can't blame Afrihost for this. If Afrihost is blamed then so too should every company that uses the MTN network. MTN were charging people not the companies using them.

In all honesty, this thread is stupid. Afrihost rely on MTN for their mobile business. Afrihost cannot post crap about mtn. Mtn did the actions themselves.

No need to be a https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fanboy

Sure they let this go for months and after the news breaks notify customers. They could have easily notified clients that accessing their service would result in a charge from their supplier being levied on the customer.

Thanks for defining "fanboy" to me, I always thought that just applied to gaming, ah well....

I still think the article was pointlesssss...

afrihost should have approached ICASA as a concerned party with knowledge of wrongdoing. They did not, thereby cementing their collusion. They colluded to protect their sales of associated mtn products. It is not hard at all to identify this, but it is indeed a great leap of logic to declare them innocent.
They had knowledge and did not act in the public interest. Balls to afrihost and anyone defending them.
