Happy New Year, everybody.

I am using Afrihost as my fibre ISP on Vumatel.

For over two months, whenever I go into clientzone / connectivity, my usage has been reported as zero, i.e., not recorded during this time. The line works fine. I have been on with Afrihost support during these months and get the same response "our devs are looking into it", or "its a problem with Vumatel, our devs are looking into it".

I like to keep an eye on my usage from an interest point of view.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thank you!

Hello.

We are aware that the data usage for Vumatel is not being recorded onto clientzone. The traffic for Vumatel is going through a bypass link, which is why we are unable to link it to clientzone. Please share your line number so I can check the data usage with Vuma and send it back to you.

I have requested an update regarding the resolution of the issue in question.

Thank you, Afrigirl.

I have sent the requested info directly to you.

Please also share the estimated time to resolve this. It must be a big issue since it has been affecting me for two months, and it is still not resolved.

Regards

Unfortunately, I can't confirm yet. What we've noticed is that since we are using the bypass link for Vumatel, our clients don't not experience high latency as before.

@Afrigirl on the same subject any idea when frogfoot usage will be corrected? My FF line has done 500gb a month for the past few months but clientzone says roughly 50 a month. I did ask [#NYK-609-38213] here in April.

I know it's roughly 500 because my amplifi router says 2.4tb since 1 Apr

Hello.

I am following up with Dev, I have picked it up on other accounts as well.

@blunt

Dev advised that the data on the graph is more accurate when looking for your monthly data usage.
Under data statistics it shows a rolling window of about 2 weeks, that is how we get the averages.

eh? I'm talking about the monthly view in the app, attached are my frogfoot vs openserve, I guarantee you the FF line did not do so little unless you've started zero rating YouTube traffic on frogfoot or something

If you view the frogfoot usage up to Jan 2024 it was 500 or 600 a month and suddenly from Feb the line usage dropped by a division of 10 to 40-60 a month max. No viewing habits have changed.

Morning.

The issue has been identified, and we are working on resolving it.

While on the subject, the CZ on a web browser shows 0KB traffic however on the CZ app it shows 21TB traffic, the latter is also wrong. How can the two show different figures?

Surely the app should also say 0KB.

I'm using Vuma/Afrihost.

True, for Vumatel Gauteng it should not show any data usage.
Please share a screenshot from your CZ app.

This is on the phone, now it says 6.6TB, was on 21 TB a few days ago. 🤷‍♂️
Thanks

The high usage was caused by some usage being recorded as double, we have corrected that now.
The app may be pulling the usage directly from Vuma, I will check and confirm with the team.

I just want to be clear, what is the end goal here?

To make the website and app show the same figures or to make the app show 0KB?

Also what Vuma link is down? Thats been down since Jan or even earlier than that. Or was that link just junk in the 1st place and are not bothering with it anymore.

To ensure that the data displayed on the app and website is the same.

The link won't be used anymore, we figured it was the one causing the high latency for our Vuma Trench Gauteng clients.

Is there a reason for monitoring usage on an uncapped package? I understand on a capped service to see when data is mostly consumed.
