So, I created an account with them, purchased 5GB prepaid data, got confirmation .... and then a sms telling me to email a copy of my ID to them. WTF?????

I phoned them and said "I will not give you my ID, cos tomorrow an illegal immigrant might be using my details to apply for work".

Lets see if I get my money back.

Oh, and screw Afrihost.

I'm actually glad this happened. Now surfing with GConnect.

Quickly registered and 5GB is R20 cheaper than Afrihost.

SO....if I purchase another 20GB it's a R100 saving for me.

Hmm all I see on their site is 3.7c/MB which is R37/GB. Looks like it's only R22/GB when you buy their 30 day broadband pass for R200.

When does it work out to less than R29, wouldn't mind that?

I signed up over the weekend. Took a picture with my cellphone, the quality of which is so poor that you can barely make out my name and ID number, so I'm not exactly worried that they may steal my identity
E-Mailed it to them and two minutes later I was signed up. The process was very streamlined and I honestly don't think people have anything to complain about.
If you're not happy with it, go buy bandwidth elsewhere at twice the price. Nobody is stopping you.
