Afrihost launches 2-for-1 mobile data topup special

Very impressive. :D

HOWEVER

Afrihost is so focused on mobile data they have forgotten their capped customers lately. :erm:

I am going to be really pissed off if I have to pay to top up my account this month while most other providers are falling over themselves to freely increase their monthly data to their customers on a pretty massive scale. :mad:

Don't take your eye off the ball Afrihost. :confused:

A little birdie told me that you guys have something awesome headed your way. Can't say more, but be assured that Capped clients are also a big priority for us (well, all clients are) :)

Really happy with this news. With Afrihost on both mobile and capped adsl. Was also feeling that the capped adsl needed some love.

That would be the dream, but at the speeds that LTE can offer this is a dangerous deal for an ISP to make - hence Neotel doing it throttled. LTE in SA fizzle up to 50Mbps (or so), so an uncapped package has the potential to pull 16-17TB a month.

I would be happy if we can get a 70+140GB deal for less than R500 within the next 2 or 3 years.

I agree, I think we are a while off still from seeing uncapped unshaped/unthrottled mobile data. It would be great to see bigger caps like 100GB 200GB etc. With a cheaper per GB price the higher you go.

I was thinking about this very thing last night. Sadly (bittersweet), the TelkomInternet double cap and "free-for-all" between 00:00 and 06:00 has prevented my plan I had which would've seen me move over my ADSL line and TelkomInternet cap to Afrihost. For now it just makes sense to keep things as is and keep Afrihost ADSL as my second cap account for when I run out on the Telkom side...

Eagerly await the ADSL promo announcement from Afrihost.....

In all the time that I've been here, I don't think any announcement we've made has failed to be completely and utterly awesome :)

Anything is possible if we have the demand to support those kind of packages :)
 
100GB-200GB package would be just fine for most of the users needs.
If its available at a decent price I am sure you will have a big uptake.
