Afrihost mobile data disappearing

Just got 2.2GB data in my account now.

I think they probably found the issue and returned all my eaten up data bundles.

2 hours later, and the data is still sitting there untouched except for a few odd normal MB's - this is looking good.
By now i was expecting the whole 2GB to be gone.

Thats good to hear, somehow for my account 500mb disappeared through the night but its stable again now, still sitting on 1,6GB , watching it each hour.
 
at the moment its 1.57GB which could be correct but something happened between 21h00 and 06H00 that took it from 2.1GB down to 1.6GB.

The device was on pure wifi during this time.

Have you paused the usage logs? The last session i can see is on the 20th?
Its down to 1.34GB now.
If you look at the past usage, not much data is used each day during the week.

Please this needs to be sorted out. ASAP before the new month as then the monthly 2GB topup happens.

This account is for my nephew who is deaf and uses WHATSAPP to let us know of his whereabouts.

I cant keep topping up like this.

Im thinking of cancelling this whole package and rather just going direct with a SP on a new sim and number - if the monthly 2gb disappears like this then I will definitely be cancelling the package.

Device was formatted, I have the very same device myself - XIAOMI REDMI NOTE2 - we run the same apps and my own account too is with you but on a different package. The affected phone is on airplane mode most of the day as he is in college.
The phone can be off and the data will disappear, so its definitely not the phone or apps. Your usage logs are showing the last connection to be on the 20th. I have not installed a 3rd party data usage app to monitor usage. Last night it was on wifi (which never went down) and 500mb disappeared overnight.

Cant you re-create the account - or something like that?
 
I had the problem earlier this year and unfortunately I didn't have any records to prove my issue.
 
The initial agent I chatted to said that they are aware of the issue and have not put it on the notices because its only happening to random people and they are dealing with it on a one by one basis.

Its confusing because the logs show the last session was on the 20th of this month.

It's definitely not a wide spread issue. I just want to reiterate that.

But we do need to figure out what's going on. Android has a built-in usage app, could you check that for me please, and possibly even PM me a screenshot?

To access th app you just need to go to Settings and then Data Usage.

I have sent my nephew a message to send me the screenshot. As he is on airplane mode now due to college - I will send it when I get it. I'm checking myself on my own device for now where this specific screen is.

Afrigenie, my kid is having the same problem, 250mb disappeared yesterday, topped him with 250mb and that too has vanished
I have sent you his mobile number, can you please urgently sort this out
Last month he couldn't use his last of data and now this month his data goes "houdini" on him

My total amount remaining for the month is also still incorrect, it does not match the usage of the phone at all.
