Afrihost mobile data disappearing

Afrigenie, my kid is having the same problem, 250mb disappeared yesterday, topped him with 250mb and that too has vanished
I have sent you his mobile number, can you please urgently sort this out
Last month he couldn't use his last of data and now this month his data goes "houdini" on him

Do you have any 3rd party apps that you can use to track your usage and compare it against your ClientZone session logs?
 
My total amount remaining for the month is also still incorrect, it does not match the usage of the phone at all.

Get glasswire if you have android it's very detailed upload download time period to the date
 
This data going missing is not just on afrihost a few months ago on one of our vodacom phones data went missing withno trace

While I got you here, what is up with Live Chat, been offline for most of the day, I have a hosting problem and I cant get hold of anyone.

Installing a monitoring app will definitely pinpoint where your data is being used. :)

While I got you here, what is up with Live Chat, been offline for most of the day, I have a hosting problem and I cant get hold of anyone.

Live Chat will sometimes show offline if all consultants are currently busy. Best is always to leave the chat open in a spare browser window or to log a ticket and our Live Chat Team will respond. Alternatively, send me your hosting query over PM and I'll assist. :)

In regards to the chat, I do leave it open, it flashes like disco lights, red and green.
When its green I try fill the form in click start chat and then decides nope sorry you cant chat now rather email
I rather chat to an agent as they always argue saying nothing is wrong and then I tell them the problem and then magically it fixes its self

They are a very busy team. I'm sorry to hear that you struggle to get in sometimes. :( Still happy to look into any hosting issue you might have - just let me know. :)
 
And he's out of data again, 2.2GB gone in 2days, meanwhile your logs show nothing on clientzone.

Im going to topup yet again - this is sickening!

Fast-vanishing data

I changed from MTN data this month, so used no AH data until the 20th or so. Then after a few days one phone is capped, the other running out fast.

My phones' data logs agree with the emailed CSV files, but the main thing is that AH's two methods of counting don't agree!

Very strange that on two days the claimed data (from the clientzone graph tooltip) was exactly double the actual data (from the emailed CSV file). It's almost like there's an algorithm that waits until you're using some data, then starts using more, only when you're using it.

Two support tickets, two phonecalls, and no useful reply. Please contact me AH, you have my number.

Anyway, I've cancelled both for now, until we see what's going on.

of the 250MB topup i did last night, only 115mb remains. And all he did was send a few whatsapp messages!
It was at 150mb last night and now its at 115MB.

The moment he uses data, on your side it showers data usage while on his side there is a slight drizzle of data.

And yes, he is using the afrihost APN, I know because i reinstalled his rom and set up the APN myself.
 
So my nephew sends me a message...and suddenly the last 115MB is gone!!!!
 
This just sucks!

How long is it going to take you guys to sort this?
I cant keep topping up as its costing me each time.
Though you are giving me data back, its just inconvenient and money spent on data I would never have bought in the first place.

I was "reallocated" 1.2GB yesterday afternoon - but after that I had to top up probably 5 times (Im losing track of the count) with 250mb.
 
GREAT!!!

Now i cant topup on PC or Mobile either!!

It says TRANSACTION AMOUNT MORE THAN CURRENT LIMIT ALLOWS!

Now my nephew is without data!

Im close to cancelling this account and my account as well.
 
AFRIHOST, !! Need someone to RE-ALLOCATE my spent data and to remove the top up limit!!!
