Afrihost Mobile Feedback Thread

I can't get access using my Mifi, I keep getting directed to an Afrihost page saying I used up my cap... I have 1.7gb left
 
I have to say I am an exceptionally unhappy AH customer.

<rant>

I was relieved of of my laptop bag by a nice couple of men with knives. Trying to get a new AH sim is exceptionally painful. You have to cancel your package in client zone and then add it again in order to get a new sim, I did this on Wednesday (Late Wednesday afternoon clientzone showed payment was confirmed). AH support promised that my new sim would be delivered in two days.

On Friday I tried to contact AH support, they told me that it took two days for payment to clear. This is utter BS as the debit order was from ABSA to ABSA and client zone showed payment was confirmed. I was transferred to a supervisor.

Three calls later I finally managed to speak to one. He promised me that the sim would be delivered Monday or Tuesday, after wasting 20 minutes of my time. He said someone from accounts would contact me to explain the issue with the clearing of the debit order... still waiting.

The courier company phoned me on Saturday telling me that the will only deliver on Tuesday because "they dont have couriers on Monday".

WHY am I getting BS from the AH support staff? Are you guys lying or just incompetent?

note: I understand that you are busy after the promo last week, but why surely this should not be allowed to affect your normal day to day business!!
 
Just received my Zest.
Initial impressions: Significantly better than expected.
Network-wise: also impressed.

Sounds like we haven't give you good quality information from the start. All debit order purchases must take up to 5 working days to clear before we can pack the parcels for despatch. Anything else is really not correct.

Drop me a PM so I can see where your order is at, and I'll do what I can to get your SIM to you ASAP :(

Awesome! It is a n impressive little guy (or gal) indeed. I'm actually loving the one I'm testing. Tears will flow when I have to give it back - or maybe it will mysteriously disappear ;)

I again ask why would it state in clientzone that the payment was verified if the debit order didn't clear? The 5 working days statement is also completely new.

If the payment is showing as verified, then everything should be on track. PM me so I can check and verify.
 
Looks like we have some authentication problems at the moment, we're waiting for updates from our team working with MTN on this.

Sincerely apologise to those clients battling to connect. We'll post updated on the website as we get more info :(

AfriMan why is the support so slow ? I logged at ticket this morning about double charging me for the Zest, but no response so far. Not even "we are looking into it".

I think we're getting a lot of delivery queries due to the amount of orders that went out after the launch.

Drop me a PM and I'll try and get that sorted out for you :(
 
Could not connect last night at all. tried till about 10.
no connection. so FRUSTRATED with bad signal/no connection last week.

I know it must have been pretty frustrating - we do think we have found the root cause, so hopefully this is all behind us now :(

Dammm tried everything last night to connect my 1GB sim with Zest and failed. Called in as well and was told no issues on the network. Tried setting etc, reboot etc. and no luck. Why don't we at least get an email, SMS or notification on your web site that there are authentication issues. :mad:

Is the Zest T1 LTE enabled?

If you swipe down from the top of the screen does it not say INVALID IMEI at the bottom of the status? That's what happened with mine.. have to wait for them to give me a new phone

The phone does not support LTE afaik
