Anyone else with the same problem?

Edit. Nevermind, working again. :o

Morning Guys

I'm still catching up on all the threads after the holiday. I see most of the posts here are with regard to the capping issue.

We've been working with MTN on this and we're now seeing that most cases have been resolved, and I see that's reflected in the posts here. We're really sorry about this and that it went on for so long. The real diffuclty has been that it only seemed to affect a handful of clients, but we really battled to get those clients connected and we're still investigating what could have happened.

If I missed anything here, please PM me. Also, if you're still getting the capped message and you have data, please PM me with your mobile data number so I can check this out for you.

Yeah, you missed the night time uncapped bit.

I see it now.

We've always resisted doing complex, bolt-on type connectivity products. We like the straight and simple approach, which our lives easier and it's easier for many clients to understand. We'd rather give clients better value all day everyday.

What a diplomatic response  Night-downloads were "complex" since when?

You know where "we" come from, you know what "we" want...

It can get pretty complex having multiple product tables, switching over from one billing rate to another daily, especially when bandwidth reports are sometimes delayed. I'm sure there are ways to get around this and make it work, we'd just rather put that effort into value that's always accessible. We just generally try to steer clear of time based conditions. If we were to get a timebased concession from an upstream supplier though, we might look at that, but at the moment we try to just pass on as much value as we get on bandwidth directly to clients.

^ cool no problem. Its just that I saw cell c have a R10 for a gig between 1am and 7pm deal. Which would be cool for downloading updates. I dont get any cell c coverage though.

That's why I bough ta Cell C sim card. Seems they want no part in that lucrative market share.

I want Afrihost to provide a speed limited LTE account (similar to what Neotel offers, but at a better price). I can't get ADSL, as Telkom is not bothered to provide lines to a complex with 200+ tenants. :wtf:

So if I can get a 4Mb high-cap mobile account at a decent price from Afrihost I will gladly take them up on their offer. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Come on Afrihost, if Neotel can do it, so can you!

We definitely do want to offer higher caps, and it's on the plans :)
I'm afraid it's not something we can offer now though, but it will happen soon.

I would also like that. Unfortunately I can't get ADSL either and the current 20GB that I get from Afrihost just isn't cutting it. Especially with my wife working from home.

I can live with "soon" ;) I really need to ditch iBurst and Afrihost is my first choice of ISP at the moment :p

We all need more data, 20GB goes pretty quickly on LTE :D
I'm sure the bigger Mobile data options will be along sooner rather than later.
