No, there's no options whatsoever on the drop down menu, ie there is nothing to select.

That's pretty weird.
Please PM me your details and the steps you're doing so I can replicate this on my end.

I've been having a lot of slow/lag response lately. the device is connected at LTE, with good signal strength but it feels like i'm getting nother over 2mbps. Dont know if our local tower is just saturated or what. It makes downloads a nightmare :(

That sounds pretty bleak :(
Have you been able to run a speedtest reflecting these slow speeds?

I am thinking of porting over to AH prepaid. Do you load airtime and data separately? Currently I buy airtime on my internet banking and then buy a data bundle as I need it. The 12 month expiry seems really cool, and the data price is great.

Hi :)

Any topups, whether that be voice or data, are all done via ClientZone.
Just a heads up, only the prepaid data and voice expire after 12 months, while the month to month packages sees the monthly allocations expire at month end.

Thanks. I will only be looking at prepaid, since I don't call a lot. How do you pay in the clientzone? Do you need to link a credit card? Can you not purchase airtime through normal internet banking?

ClientZone is essentially the hub for everything. All our products are managed there, including your payment options :)
You can set a Credit Card or Debit Order via ClientZone to process your payments from there.

While data vouchers will work, it's advised you rather purchase this directly via ClientZone in order to avoid any confusion. The allocations, invoicing and history is also listed there which makes managing your account super easy :)

I am so confused at the moment!

I signed up for Mobile XS (R39.50). My January ended with R34.60 airtime left. Last night when I checked, I was pushed up to R96.74. Now, this morning I'm on R59.60. This is all "Evergreen" airtime, so by the way. So, the difference is R25? Yet, I got an SMS from MTN thanking me for topping up R30. Oh, and I got 100MB data from MTN too (*141#).

Please explain to me which universe of maths I must use to make sense of this.

ALSO, my mobile data doesn't look correct. I previously had 3x500MB (500MB package, A+, Mobile benefit). However, now on my mobile I see 500MB, 500MB, 500MB, 10GB. Where is the 1GB from my Mobile XS?

I wonder how many customers are aware that Afrihost only credits the amount of airtime used in the last billing cycle.
i.e. the customer will only get the full airtime credit if and only if they use all their allocated airtime by the end of the month.
However AH will bill amount regardless if they credit the customer account with R0 or R100.

Pretty sneaky since this not explained in the signup process.

I was aware of that... Still trying to see how that works out, or I might just go back to "normal" prepaid.

However, in my post above, I definitely don't get to R39.50 on my account as I expected..

Afrihost has some serious glitches! Loaded R30 airtime yesterday via Internet banking(currently can't add airtime via Afrihost Webzone, option blank) , initially showed as R90 airtime loaded via Webzone and *141#, now back to R30.

You get recharge bonuses from MTN.. It's not difficult, you also get an sms from MTN explaining the USSD codes to dial to check

Why does Afrihost not rather create a full on VMNO like Virgin Mobile and with their own Afrihost branded sims? This hybrid system that they are doing seems to limit them a bit and is creating issues with porting and who is responsible for what.

Correct. R37.14 last night was from promotional airtime.

However, *141*1# > 1 now shows it at Non-expiry Airtime: R59.60. That's a R25 difference between my balance from last month to this, and a R20.10 difference from R39.50. I want to know how this all comes together.

Excuse me for being pedantic, but I like to know where and how my money gets spent.

The minimum recharge is R25 apparently. It is rather convoluted, I'm on R49.86 balance on an XS contract... Switching to pre-paid and auto-topup from next month, will work better for me.

Your airtime disappears at month end and you get reset to your package amount(pages of discussion on this)

EXCEPT

If the difference between your airtime balance and package amount is less than R25, then you'll be recharged with R25 at the beginning of the month.

The big balance you have at the beginning of the month includes the recharge bonus from MTN which expires after a few days.
