Sorry to post here again but I can not get so far as to log into the Afrihost client zone for hosting on one of our sites...

Is this our usual monthly server issue (yes that regular) or another issue??

Your airtime disappears at month end and you get reset to your package amount(pages of discussion on this)

EXCEPT

If the difference between your airtime balance and package amount is less than R25, then you'll be recharged with R25 at the beginning of the month.

The big balance you have at the beginning of the month includes the recharge bonus from MTN which expires after a few days.

Point 1 I am aware of. The less than R25 thing... That's convoluted. :wtf: Thanks :)

I am so confused at the moment!

I signed up for Mobile XS (R39.50). My January ended with R34.60 airtime left. Last night when I checked, I was pushed up to R96.74. Now, this morning I'm on R59.60. This is all "Evergreen" airtime, so by the way. So, the difference is R25? Yet, I got an SMS from MTN thanking me for topping up R30. Oh, and I got 100MB data from MTN too (*141#).

Please explain to me which universe of maths I must use to make sense of this.

ALSO, my mobile data doesn't look correct. I previously had 3x500MB (500MB package, A+, Mobile benefit). However, now on my mobile I see 500MB, 500MB, 500MB, 10GB. Where is the 1GB from my Mobile XS?

I was aware of that... Still trying to see how that works out, or I might just go back to "normal" prepaid.

However, in my post above, I definitely don't get to R39.50 on my account as I expected..

Correct. R37.14 last night was from promotional airtime.

However, *141*1# > 1 now shows it at Non-expiry Airtime: R59.60. That's a R25 difference between my balance from last month to this, and a R20.10 difference from R39.50. I want to know how this all comes together.

Excuse me for being pedantic, but I like to know where and how my money gets spent.

Hey boyequal! Really sorry about the late reply here... I see where you are coming from regarding this "math" discrepancy, but I think it would make it a lot easier for me to understand your issue by actually looking at your account and usage history. :) Please drop me a PM with your details and we can sort it out from there!

Afrihost has some serious glitches! Loaded R30 airtime yesterday via Internet banking(currently can't add airtime via Afrihost Webzone, option blank) , initially showed as R90 airtime loaded via Webzone and *141#, now back to R30.

Hi JimM! We did see a small issue in one of our hosting environments during the day today... Things should all be back to normal now. If you're still experiencing trouble, please drop me a PM with your details and I'll check it out for you! :)

If I go for say the Mobile XS bundle, that's 1GB of data and R39.50 of airtime which is about 50 minutes of call time, is there a way to add a sms bundle on top of the R99.

Indeed, you can add-on SMS bundles via ClientZone :)

Why is Auto-Limit not buying me air-time? I have 8c left so well past 90% usage, isn't it automatically supposed to recharge up to the limit I've set?

FYI: I've set auto-limit to R25 a time with a max of R100.

Auto-Limit should be topping you up at 90%... Please PM me your username and I'll investigate the hold up. :)

Pity I only came across this thread now, after porting my numbers. After reading your spiel about evergreen, I was under the impression that airtime does not expire. Guess you got me, will have to wait 60 days and port back to a simpler system where I do not have to try guess how much airtime I am going to use and buy the right amount. Much easier to just topup when needed.

Very disappointed Afrihost, MTN is really rubbing off on you guys.
