I'm finding myself becoming a little taken aback at the level of support service being offered here. Is there a more suitable channel that I should be doing this through?

I'm also sure you guys are busy and juggling many balls, I just want to make sure that I am able to use my product as needed, as soon as possible, if possible, thanks!

Now that Afrihost directs mobile traffic via their own network international latency has been meh....

MTN apn gives me like 180ms but afrihost apn gives me like 260ms to the same destination.

Trace route shows traffic going same route adsl goes. JHB to CPT to Lisbon ect ect where MTN goes direct from JHB to UK.

If you have specific examples, we'd be happy to investigate and improve wherever we can :)

I've got a question.

If I cancel my Afrihost DATA SIM card, will the SIM card revert to a normal MTN prepaid one that I can use, since the card is already RICA'd in my name? Or is the SIM card canceled entirely?

Any MTN SIM is technically always available on the MTN network. We simply de-provision the SIM to use our APN, but it should always work on the MTN network. If you didn't buy the SIM from us, you are definitely good to go :)
 
Hoping someone from Afrihost can help here:
I have 2 mobile data packages, both on APN. From 1 Jan 2017, one of my packages stopped working (unable to connect to the internet). I have been getting the daily "Afrihost APN Notice" telling me my number haven't connected to the Afrihost network for 24hrs. I've logged 2 tickets for this issue:
- #YNC-263-16161
- #RCX-307-61968

Have been dealing with Neo, Dianne B, Daniel W, Marcello V, Damien W - all telling me that they've re-provisioned the sim and to switch the device off and reboot after some minutes. The phone was switched off for 30min, SIM even removed when asked to do so, but still nothing.

I have already paid for this data that I now cannot use. I need some help that will actually work this time. Before 1 Jan, it worked perfectly and from 1 Jan it stopped.

Hi Lee31. It is possible that your one MTN could have been de-provisioned on the MTN network due to inactivity. :( Are you able to make a call to or from this number? Perhaps even try send a please call me or do a balance check. Feel free to PM me a little more detail and we'll get to the bottom of this together.

Sigh OOB is enabled with a set limit, checked account shows I am capped even though there is still cap(oob limit) left.

Kindly fix it, seems to be a regular intermittent occurrence, no issue last month :(
 
Afrihost APN issue...?? connected, no throughput ..Cape Town -Foreshore.

Now getting ... the "You have used up all your data on your connectivity account!" message.. have plenty of data!
