Now that Afrihost directs mobile traffic via their own network international latency has been meh....
MTN apn gives me like 180ms but afrihost apn gives me like 260ms to the same destination.
Trace route shows traffic going same route adsl goes. JHB to CPT to Lisbon ect ect where MTN goes direct from JHB to UK.

I've got a question.
If I cancel my Afrihost DATA SIM card, will the SIM card revert to a normal MTN prepaid one that I can use, since the card is already RICA'd in my name? Or is the SIM card canceled entirely?

I have 2 mobile data packages, both on APN. From 1 Jan 2017, one of my packages stopped working (unable to connect to the internet). I have been getting the daily "Afrihost APN Notice" telling me my number haven't connected to the Afrihost network for 24hrs. I've logged 2 tickets for this issue:
- #YNC-263-16161
- #RCX-307-61968
Have been dealing with Neo, Dianne B, Daniel W, Marcello V, Damien W - all telling me that they've re-provisioned the sim and to switch the device off and reboot after some minutes. The phone was switched off for 30min, SIM even removed when asked to do so, but still nothing.
I have already paid for this data that I now cannot use. I need some help that will actually work this time. Before 1 Jan, it worked perfectly and from 1 Jan it stopped.
