My issues is :

Spotty coverage - both at home and at work. Which can't be helped. I'm still trying to find a "sweet" spot at my house.

Work is a different matter.

Apart from that, I've been testing it all over the place wherever I go. Some places have excellent speeds, some have poor speeds.

Depends on whether you have a [good] tower in your area.

But I'm very impressed with it. Will be trying it in other areas out as well.

Spotty coverage in La Lucia. a MTN phone gets 3G signal while the mifi device gets 2G/Edge sitting next to each other on the desks.

Uniform shades of grey/orange/yellow is not a good indicator of signal strength, unfortunately.

If we can also have the tower locations on the map... Maybe the gr8signal.co.za map will do better, just use MTN settings?

Both home and work is covered in grey (3G 2100) and yellow (2G) but not in brown (3G 900)

And 2G sucks.

What I find funny about my areas coverage is that we have a tower close to my house yet no coverage on the map?

Switch the device to 3G only. It's in the settings. That is if you know there is 3G coverage. Prevents it from changing to Edge.

My device was delivered about an hour ago. Here's my speedtest results at work. Plattekloof, Cape Town.
