Would be lovely to get two SIM's, one for my mifi (which travels with me) and the other for the wife's ipad, so that if we have a problem with ADSL at home, she can just switch over to 3G...

Ooh. That would be nice.

The question that he was asked, was whether this person could use the data on > 1 phone and the MiFi (in order to save on the costs associated with expensive 3G on phones). I will try find that post.

the signal at my house in Centurion sucks balls. can't even get it to connect properly. Hopefully it will be better at my new apartment in Northriding when I move there

Anyone take the protection/insurance thingy for R19?

Why did they charge R19 for the 27th to 31st August and and again for September? Don't even have the device or SIM yet...

Yep.

Wonder why...

Well ... I have heard people say that MTN coverage is patchy ... but did not think it was this bad. I recommended this to my house mate. She needs a 3G package but having some financial woes .... so told her about this considering it is month to month. I have a spare little mifi device for her so the sim only and month to month thing would sould her great. I am also considering it .... but gonna suck balls if we dont have signal or if the speed sucks. I was already bitten by Cell C ... dont want to be let down again. But again ... it is month to month so if it sucks I cancel.

I asked Afriman about it. He said he'll give me a credit note (I can't see anything on the website though, so will look again). Just pop him a message.
It is worth it though, because it also protects your device against theft/loss/damage.

I just did a speedtest on my phone quickly and I am impressed!

What device? :p

Payment hasn't even been verified yet so the chances of actually receiving the device/SIM in August are slim at best. Unless either has actually been delivered it's not my responsibility so a charge for August is silly.

Same here. CellC is actually better than MTN... didn't realized it was that bad.

Why do they (MTN customers) still pay those high extortionate amounts to MTN every month for? :erm: :D

Also quite surprised but you're right. My Cell C sim gets 3G at home and in my office where this AH MTN sim gets 2G at best and it's barely usable.
