I would like to make a suggestion, rather then buying two sims at R145.00 make it so that if a clients wants he can put it on the current sim he has for that same price of R290.00 but move all the 10GB onto that one sim

We'll have to look at that and the ease of use vs convenience vs available dev time vs demand for this kind of change. We usually end up doing what our clients need most. For now I can't imagine it would be much of a headache for those wanting to change.

My connection is flying tonight :)

Looking good. I must say I'm impressed by the upload speeds I'm seeing. Must be great for people doing emergency FTP stuff :)

Mtn reception is quite bad in my house cant even browse on 2g even though we have a tower nearby.

It depends on the demand on the tower. I can get about 13Mbps on the tower near my house, but other times of the day it drops down to about 6Mbps. Still pretty decent.

What's the signal like outside the house?

Full bars for 2g inside and out just quite slow, but 3g is mostly on 0-1 and doesnt hold a signal long enough even when I force it.

What I get at the mall :p so 3g works

Also its only my street which only gets 2g and the streets all around me do so must be something to do with the hill.

Hilly terrain is very bad for signal. Radio waves have very limited terrain penetration.

Very possible. Cellular coverage is dependant on frequencies. Remember that higher frequencies have a shorter wavelength and travel less further than lower frequencies. They can also be more directional, are less able to move through or around objects as well as lower frequencies.

Just a bit of chappies wrapper science for you guys ;)

:D maybe one day they will put a tower where I get signal, but luckily my adsl still works for home use :p.

Drop tested my mifi device today. Dropped from about 1.5 metres onto paving. Broke up into three pieces. Got some dents and marks. Put it together and powered up. Still works.

Thanks for doing that test so no-one else has to!

Everyone else, please don't use your MiFi's for playing hockey, as an anti-hijack device or for flavouring smoothies! It really is only meant for Pure Internet Joy ;)

Anyone know the difference between a blue signal strength and a green signal strength on the E5331 monitor?
