aah! smart :D

That is one reason why you never will be able to use pingtest.net to prove my point pingtest doesn't use enough data to force the modem over to HSDPA. So this is what I get when I stream youtube.

But if I don't I normaly get this
Capture.jpg

Just a normal ping test

Pinging google.co.za [173.194.41.159] with 32 bytes of data:

Some games does not move enough traffic to force the modem to switch over to HSDPA+ and it would rather stay on 3G wish gives you a horrible ping,
But newer games like dota 2 move way more data and the modem will switch over to HSDPA

I know when diablo first came out I had to run ping in CMD of a website just keep my MTN modem in hsdpa+

Hi AfriMan.

I've been having issues with my sim card and MiFi device since 31 March. The Afrihost apn has just stopped working.

The mifi keeps on saying that the profile is invalid. So I created a new profile with the apn set to Internet, now it works but I know that I shouldn't be connecting this way since it won't go through Afrihost apn.

What do I need to do to get my Afrihost apn working again? I've tried everything from resetting to factory settings to using another 3g modem and still can't connect to the correct apn...

I'm not sure what network you would be connecting to with that APN name - but it depends on the device setup. For the Afrihost MiFi, the APN should be preset on the device and shouldn't need to be edited. If you do a hard reset on the device - it should restore the factory settings with our APN.

Do Afrihost have stock on the sim cards?
What's the turnaround for deliver (Johannesburg)?

Need to place an order for a family friend

Should be quite quick :) Depends, if you pay via Debit Order - it might take a while to verify and therefore delivery might be a bit longer.

We definitely have stock of the offered sizes. Delivery depends on your payment method. If you use a credit card, you could even come to our offices and take immediate delivery (just make sure that bring your RICA documents)
