I'm not sure what network you would be connecting to with that APN name - but it depends on the device setup. For the Afrihost MiFi, the APN should be preset on the device and shouldn't need to be edited. If you do a hard reset on the device - it should restore the factory settings with our APN.
I've done hard resets etc. Every time it gives me an error that the profile is invalid and I should contact my service provider.
Edit: it might be my MiFi device as I've tried 3 different networks and all of them gives me full 3G but speed test gets less than 0.2mb/s no matter the time of day, it's been over a week now...
My Afrihosy sim with Afrihost APN doesn't connect at all.

Sounds we need to test on a different device here - though it's weird that other networks connect and ours doesn't. Let's also make 100% sure you are using the right settings for our network
Have you also made sure that your account is not capped?
What are all the APN settings? Also - are you using a big A or a small a? Some things are finicky like that :/

MTN Afrihost sim I have used Afrihost, afrihost and Internet for the APN and only the latter works.
I still have all my data left on my sim as this issue started on 31 March. Client zone confirms this.
Cell C and Telkom sims I used Internet as APN and they work. Telkom one even works with Afrihost as APN.
Edit: oh yeah I also tried a normal 3G modem and same issue with the Afrihost APN but the other sim cards are acting normally.
Internet shouldnt work? Check clientzone for your phone number registered to that sim and send it an SMS. Then check the mifi if the SMS arrived.
This is just to make sure there hasnt been a confusion with sims. Is it an APN MTN sim or one ordered and sent to you by Afrihost?

EDIT: Wait?? How can the Telkom one work with the Afrihost APN???

Yes I know it shouldn't. It's the one I received from Afrihost, I've never had any other MTN sim.
I'll send an sms as well but I'm sure it's the right sim card that I received from them.

Was at OR Tambo this weekend, no data on Afrihost. Kept getting PDP authentication error messages on my phone.
This is on 3G, I don't even tick the LTE option on my iPhone anymore since it always gives an error with Afrihost APN. Using MyMTN works 100% all the time.
I stay around in the area and also experience some network issues the weekend. But all working again.
