Yep. Mobile data dead. Got 606.96MB left that I kept for tonight ... and now I cannot use it. :(

Same here...got just under a gig left and can't use it. Been having authentication issues the whole evening. At least Vodacom's data is working...

We are receiving reports of client unable to authenticate new sessions on our broadband network, including DSL and Mobile Data. Our network engineers are currently investigating with MTN to determine the cause of this. Some clients may be unable to connect to the internet due to this problem. Client who are already connected should remain connected, and we encourage not to reboot their routers until the problem has been resolved. We sincerely apologise to affected clients for the inconvenience.
 
My first complaint of Afrihost. Called 3 times yesterday. @ 16:00 was downloading a psn patch, then it decideds to tell me I have run out of data (When I still had)

Call 1: Utter idiot, telling me that it wont download a torrent ??>?????? PSN is now a torrent?
Call 2: Fixed, good job

Then your network decided to die.

Call 3: Sorry, you will not be able to use the data you paid for and we will take it away in a few hours

So, will we be given data this month to compensate?

Edit: I love Afrihost. Got my data rolled over. Awesome company.

If history repeats itself then we won't get compensated for the data lost. Also lost quite some data that I tried to save for updates.

It's not like we can leave and go somewhere else...right?
 
Never mind, apparently left does not know what right hand is doing. Trying to get a sim to use LTE. Can someone help?

My current sim does say LTE on it. So can I assume that it is not LTE capable?
 
Also an extremely unhappy customer here! Had 4.4GB of data remaining yesterday, and was unable to connect for even a second, I demand a refund, and will be contacting support today to express my unhappiness!

EDIT: Scratch that! A two minute conversation with online support, and I have the data re-credited to my account! I knew I picked Afrihost for a reason! :D

Methinks AH should let the remaining data expire 10 days into the next month to handle these issues. That way, if you haven't used it by the 10th, really is your fault. I know I also budget my 3G data to serve me the whole month, including the last day as I never know where I will be on that day and if I won't be near wifi/adsl.
 
Last night I also lost about 500mb and I have recently upgraded to the 5+5gigs package, and this was the 4th time that I encountered this downtime at night.

I posted on Afrihost's Facebook page about this, but just got a "Sorry......"

Im really frustrated with this kind of service.
MTN just took over Afrihost and this is what we're getting?

I'm considering going to Neotel. Have already checked for reception in our area and it looks good.
Not sure how their service is going to be though, but will sure give it a try.

You actually get more data than Afrihost if you buy the Neotel Vouchers.
So, if you compare it to the Afrihost 5+5gigs (10gigs) Package, you will get 13gigs from Neotel for R297 (R49+R89+149)
That's a whopping 3gigs more guys!
Plus,you can control your spending even better, no debit orders,no one month advance notice, etc. etc.
I believe these are also going to be sold at Incredible Conncetions soon.
