I you are happy with incredible crap client services like their accounts department, no support on weekends, ever holding times, no response to support tickets, authentication issues, being capped when you still have data left. If you happy with all of the above, then go for it.

I used to always recommend Afrihost to everyone, but recently their are just ****ing crap full stop.

I saw that you moved over from Facebook to MyBB. I hope that you are just as keen as me to find solutions to problems and make everyone's experience as possible.

I understand that you are frustrated, but I really do try to keep the forums as positive as possible, that way we can find solutions and make things better for everyone. Let's hope we can continue in that vein :)
 
Same here, been struggling with authentication issues the whole weekend.

Sometimes I can access google, but following any page after that leads me to the account problem page.

Any idea whats going on?

We haven;t had authentication issues. What we're seeing with clients getting a capped page is that they have authenticated, but are not getting throughput because somewhere the system believes that have no data.

If you do see this page, please give it about 5-10 mins for our system to double check your account and it should automatically update your policy and reconnect you.
 
4:18 PM and once again no put-through.

Network indication shows outgoing data, but no data is received

Just to check something with the screenshot you posted: I see you only have 1 bar WiFi signal. At the time were you far away from your WiFi router?

You will always get throughput issues if you are on the fringe of your WiFi network.

If you check again, that 1 bar signal is not wifi, the the 2nd sim card in my tablet. On Telkom Mobile
 
Oh? I've never seen one of those before (dual SIM tab). Which tablet is it?
 
Between those soppy 'we're real humans with heart' emails from Gian and now this news I'm not even sure what's going anymore with this double-data thing but it sounds like good news so...:). Hope it wasn't done just to generate a mad rush to sign up new accounts before the deal ends (which it seemingly hasn't).

Sorry that was me being jaded. Hopefully you keep the double-data going on forever and I for one have been very happy with the connection and the service thus far - especially the reps on this forum.

Awesome thanks for the compliment. Gian is unfortunately very soppy. I think he was a product of the 80 romantic period - it's why we love him so much. Its all absolutely sincere though, if you ever meet, you'd probably wonder how it's possible for a human being to just love everyone and be awesome all the time :)

I don't think it's anything to do with generating sales. We were gutted when we had to end Double Data and Gian and his team have been wracking their brains to figure out a way to keep it going - clearly they succeeded :)

I see I'm asked to pay some silly amount of R18... Do I have to pay this cash, or will it be debited off my account?

It depends on your needs, cos the SIM gets activated immediately and is delivered to you as quickly as possible. The pro-rata will be billed to you within 24 hours or so, depending on your payment method.

Thank you. 24 Hours sounds good. So I'll wait for next week to receive it. Who's your current cellular provider AfriMan?
