I have to be honest, I'm not familiar with MDMA, though I know a few use it. I can't tell whether the time code refers to minutes or seconds, but the data transferred seems very low if you were doing anything meaningful on the network. If you were inactive, then it would fit with a small ping that essentially keeps the connection open (again, depends on the duration).

I think MTN's people are probably a lot better at analysing the data than me :(
Posted it for the Cell Id, RSSi and SNR info, not the stats :)

I don't really know enough about Mobile Data to understand how these effect data, I imagine it must have some similarity to DSL and fibre. But MTN will be able to tell us more about what is acceptable or problematic.

So now that MTN buy out of Afrihost has gone through I guess we can kiss our 6Gigs good bye?

It's still pending before the Competition tribunal, but I think we can expect bigger and better things. Worth waiting for, I would say :)

Don't cancel, you definitely have some awesome stuff to look forward to :)

Agreed here - anyone who wants to cancel their AH because of the MTN deal really must wait and see just how bad the impact is (especially when compared to the other "options" out there).

Despite my inclination to cancel of the incessant capped pages. I'm not. Who else sells 20GB for R499?

Remember that MTN have committed to a "hands-off" approach, so nothing will change. If anything, we have more access to them, not so much them to us (though they'll share in our revenues).

I am not sure what causes the capped pages, have not seen it in a while but a simple message via clientzone solves the problem in quickly. Sometimes the "capped" pages was due to my own system and web page history stored in cache I think.

Ok, will wait and see what you guys comes up with. I got my sister + a friend onto Afrihost also, please dont dissapoint us. :)

Punting MTN business as usual?

Why can't you assist with my bad MTN reception? Afrihost failed me dismally :D

This is how I must survive in my mancave but only partially successful.

That said I wont easily change the Afrihost clientzone experience for anything else as they are far and few in existence.

PS: Ignore the cobwebs. It's my mosquito defence system.

Not interested in the MTN/AH deal.........fix the damn networks!

Why everyday exactly from about 13H00 on to about 20H00 the Afrihost/MTN tower that serves me OR Afrihost mobile goes for a ball. Before I posted this I had no issues all morning and again at 13H00 I lost access?
