Dude, that survey proves nothing.

There are a handful of results and it makes one Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge assumption: that all Afrihost mobile data users are active members on mybb that will keep an eye on this section of the forum.

Sure it may echo the general sentiment on MyBB regarding that issue - but you have no idea what percentage of Afrihost's customer base are active MyBB members.

I beg to differ Dude!

Most of my clients use AH Mobile data and the survey closely reflects their sentiments... Most have already armed themselves with pre-paid annual Cell C SIM's and/or MWeb Mobile Data offerings.

So, I do have a good idea Dude! In a nutshell, allowing for there being things like Eskom power outages, no post and diesel running out in the Western Cape, Afrihost will lose at least 50% of their mobile customers.

While I am aware that the survey is seen by MyBB members, all surveys are similar. When you're stopped in the street for a survey it's only taking data from those who traverse that particular street! The thing that weighs in here, is that many AH clients are clients because of MyBB members recommending Afrihost.

Unless you are trying to say that non-MyBB members are somehow not concerned at getting 50% less?

So Dude, the survey gives an indication of probable trends... Your post sort of answers itself really! :wtf:

Is that statement also based on a statistically rigorous google docs survey?

Get a bigger sample size and a more diverse pool of samples on your little questionnaire and maybe someone might just take you seriously.

Most people are accepting for what it is so, statistically speaking you're the odd one out... Subject to external verification by the 1.3 million ants in my garden. Always read the label and occasionally see things for what they are!

Capture.jpg

work for 30min then capped page wait 10min to get it working again then 30 min capped again OMW THIS ISSUE HOW CAN AFRIHOST NOT BLOODY FIX THIS

Friend also complaining that he's capped 90% of the day.

Haven't experienced a capped in 1 week.

Yay, now I got capped. Not even half of my data allocation used. Any Afripeeps on duty?

On the plus side all these people cancelling means less congestion on the network for the rest of us :D
But Afrihost mobile is a somewhat small portion if you look at the bigger picture of mtn subscribers. Doubt cancellations will help alleviate congestion that much

I see a few people here experienced the capped problem over the weekend.

If anyone is still unable to connect, please PM me so I can sort this out if possible :(

How about a eta on sorting it out forever ? the problem is it happens when we cannot always contact you guys

We're definitely trying to sort out permanent solutions and we've definitely reducing he frequency this occurs and the number of clients affected. Hopefully we'll continue to make progress until we sort this out.

Agree, why can't we have a reset button in the ClientZone?

There is some discussion around this. There are some pro's and con's. One of the setbacks is that if people use the feature frequently and submit multiple times, it could create more problems than it solves. But it is being spoken about as a possible solution to help with this.

If we didn't take the afrihost + must we still cancel the promotion? Or does it cancel automatically?
