Morning everyone

We've had reports from some clients that the DSL problems on international may also be on Mobile. I see some MTN clients also complaining of poor traffic, so right now there is a lot we don't know about why this is happening. We've got the full resources of MTN working on this to restore service, so hopefully this will not be happening for much longer :(

Does this explain why I cannot refresh Cydia on my phone, via Wi-Fi on Afrihost mobile, but can refresh using the Vodacom SIM in the phone? I also find the Ookla Speedtest intermittent on Wi-Fi/Afrihost, but fine on Vodacom....

I'm afraid so...

But it should be significantly better at the moment. Would you mind testing from your side quickly, and letting me know if you still have the same issue.

Ookla's working - connection is flying at 13.7Mbps DL and 2.03Mbps UL, ping = 69ms

Cydia still not refreshing.

I'm not too familiar with Cydia, do you perhaps know where the servers are located for the service?

Something is definitely going wrong here, possibly your line by the looks of throughput and latency :(
If you're still having issues drop me a PM with your number and I'll see if I can sort this out for you.

I have done so again

Thank you

AfriGuy, my Afrihost LTE has been really bad these last couple of evenings. Are you still experiencing problems?

Mobile should be solid right now, but with loadshedding coming back, it could affect you if they're loadshedding somewhere around you (if that's where the LTE tower lives).

If it's not anything related to loadshedding, we'll need to do a little more troubleshooting :(

Ah that may be the issue. It was load shedding all over the place there by us. Will monitor it the next couple of evenings.

Loadshedding is a serious pain! Please let me know of any changes!
