Port my old Cell C pre-pay number to MTN yesterday and get a SMS from MTN that all was done by 10.30pm.
So I then log on to my Afrihost account and add mobile data package to this SIM.
Check handset at 8.30am and find Afrihost now active!

Impressed!

The SIM received a message from MTN at 11.30pm to say that LTE had been provisioned... Now the question is, does that mean Afrihost LTE is also provisioned?

If you use the APN option like you all activation's in terms of 3G and LTE gets done by your provider which is MTN. If you get a sim from Afrihost then Afrihost needs to activate LTE since they will be your service provider.

That's really cool! :) Yes, I'll have to provision LTE on your Afrihost APN, it should also be fairly quick. Send me a PM with your account details and I'll sort you out.

Quite right. :) LTE will have to be provisioned on the Afrihost APN.

I've reset your account, and re-allocated your cap, can you please restart your device then test if there is any change.

its happened to me in the past.

They just have to reset something on their side. The live chat support team can get it done in a few minutes.

Yes, we can just restart the account. Another thing is to just reboot the device about 10-15 minutes after you it the capped page. The session reset should happen automatically.

Signed up for an APN account... became active in less than 30 min. Ignore the 72 hour warning people, AH has its ducks in a row.

Still having the same issue...whatsapp and gmail connect...but can not access any website...I am speaking to your support guys via email at the moment.

Are you getting any kind of error? Is this a SIM in a device or using a MiFi for a PC or tablet?

Get redirected to the capped info page, when trying to access any web address....I have a HTC One M8 -- like I said above, whatsapp and gmail are connecting..so there is an active connection going.

If this were DSL it would point to DNS issues, so I'm trying to think how that could be possible on a Mobile device. Do you experiencing this in different locations?

I am in the Cape Town area, live Atlantic Seaboard side, and work in the CBD...- both locations, same issue.

Sounds to me like it's probably a device setting. Have you tried other SIMS or networks with the same device (or same SIM in another device)?
